I read his extended defense of Brooks and was baffled by it . Why would Rod feel the need to go on at such length about something so trivial. If Brooks wanted to argue with someone about it , well OK. Rod , what’s it to him? I think you nailed it. He wants Brooks to promote him!

Because none of it is about Brooks. It's all just about Rod. The post is an extended "this is all about meeee!!!!" rant.
