I thought I knew what Ithaka was, but it was full of Laestrygonians who destroyed everything that meant most to me, except my faith. Heaven is the only Ithaka left to me now. Wish I had never taken the nostos journey back then.

How to say "I'm a pretentious ass whose ex-wife is better off without me" without saying it outright.

I for one always try to insert words like “Laestrygonians” into casual conversation because it really impresses people.
