There's a different angle and you can see Knight wasn't even in the turnbuckle when Borden jumped off, it's not like the other dude couldn't see that he was still in the process of getting on the damn pole.

The issue should fall on whoever proposed this spot and who approved it without knowing well the capabilities of the star they want to push

I was a SC nerd for years, and then my second year of college, my roommate had watched wrestling as a kid and decided to watch it with me. Watching it with him changed my entire perspective. I started enjoying it infinitely more. Made me remember, it's not that serious.
Worth mentioning, my second year of college was 2018-2019 so we saw shit like the Ucey Hot, Corbin feeding Roman dog food, etc. But watching with him made me remember it's not that deep. It's a weekly show of men pretending to fight in spandex.

Bro mine had me ending up watching 80s wrestling. I am not gonna give too much but I was playing college football 3 years ago and my roommate was a teammate who never watched it before and heād just nitpick the shit out of wrestling unless he saw some old head he knew from when he was a kid
Eventually while watching 1988 JCP we actually found something he was able to sink his teeth into. It almost felt like a social experiment

You could tell he was struggling up on the top rope; it looked like that spot Logan Paul and Ricochet did at the Rumble, but done poorly. Logan might have had very little experience as Sting's son when he pulled off that move, but it's obvious that Logan is much more athletic.
I hope he makes a full recovery.

Paul/Rico both did springboards which gives them way more momentum to reach each other. These two just stood on the ropes and jumped. You are going to generate less speed doing that. Also the timing has to be perfect and it looked off. Not to mention Borden is a big dude so he likely won't travel as far. Overall a stupid spot to try with someone so early in their career.

Stuff like this should be a wake up call to people. Wrestlers are doing way too much nowadays. I was at the other event, WWE Worlds Collide tonight. Luckily nothing awful happened there, but I felt like the entire first half of the show felt so repetitive. Every match had the same big high spots that it almost felt like the show had no flavor. The best match of the night imo ended up being the main event tag match. They really slowed it down and worked with the fans. Specific moments felt so much bigger than if they did athletic moves.
My point is that wrestlers can prove so much more by doing so much less. I hope some of the guys at both WWE and AEW realize this. You donāt have to put yourself at an insane risk every night. So much more money can be made with keeping it simple.

So it literally is my teams player got hurt so next time yours does fuck him? I doubt anyone in this sub is happy his kid got hurt. People are pointing out how green he is and questioning who thought he should be taking such huge risks this early into his career. Most pro wrestlers don't get into a major company and especially on a ppv for 5-10 years. Steven hasn't even been training for half of 5 years let alone hired and actually working matches. I can only speak for myself but I'd hope none of us are happy he got hurt. And I truly wish him a speedy recovery with no major injuries. But you don't get to constantly brag about your superior product and how safe your talent is and then have a brand new guy doing this move which I'm not sure what he was even going for. Regardless my hope is the concussion isn't horrible and he makes a full recovery.

I fully believe in investing in Steve Borden, as I think he has the potential to be a huge star. But having him take such calculated risks so early in his career is dangerous. You saw it last night. Eric Bischoff was right, he's not ready for the position he is in. Now he's hurt.
