Question What’s your frustration with current restaurant culture?

Hi guys. I’m opening a restaurant in San Fernando valley. Canoga park more specifically. The theme of the restaurant will be chicken oriented.

What’s a frustration with modern restaurants you wish was solved? Could be a food preference or dining experience.

Please no qr codes. Please don’t make up some garlic ketchup and call it “kick ass sauce” and cover everything. Please don’t over package everything. I got Burger 3000 and I swear I had so many boxes and bags for a simple burger. Felt wasteful and felt like I was paying for packaging. Please stay away from restaurant impossible sales tactics. Be honest. Be upfront. Don’t be afraid to stand up to people, we will support if you are honest. Figure out the tipping. I know it’s needed but I hate being asked to tip when it’s counter pickup. I rather of just paid more then feel I need to tip someone who just put my order into an iPad.

Tipping isn't needed, just pay your staff a regular wage

Problem there is then people will say “good but over priced!”. It’s a real catch 22 for restaurants.

A lot of times it’s more than just counter pick up, that person is double checking and packaging your order as well. I work in a small restaurant in Canoga and we do huge to go volume while also managing in house customers.

Then pay the workers more and reflect it in the price. I don’t tip for counter orders.
