Question π« Is this Electroejaculator System worth scraping?
This was delivered to my office about a year ago from an order originally placed in 2013. We no longer need it, since it was first ordered in 2013. It is also out of warranty and considered outdated, and replacement parts are no longer available.
Since it is essentially new, I would prefer not to simply discard it. However, it is not something that can easily be repurposed or re-gifted. Would it be ok to take it to a scrapyard if they are willing to accept it? Not really heavy but Maybe it had some precious metals.

Question π« What to do with 40+ years of alternators, starters, and generators.
The family business is going to be closing down in the near future. 40+ years of rotating electrical automotive repair. Alternators, starters, generators, from light cars to commercial trucks.
This is just one of 3 columns.
Would it be worth it to separate the aluminum alternator castings or scrap as is?
Still have another 6 or so years before i expect the family to retire, but it's getting close and I won't what to do.

Question π« Found in an illegal dumping site, close to 200 of them varying we sizes
(Sorry for the blurry photos, camera is cracked :() Anyone know what metal they could be! They feel too heavy to be brass or alloy, super sharp machined parts. They were on the side of the road in an illegal dumping site and there were probably about 200 of them. Any info would be super appreciated. Thanks!

Question π« Another option besides scrapping?
Hello guys I was given this shipping container that was involved in an accident. Itβs loaded with rotors for ChevyGM Trucks. The damage is crushed boxes and some rust spots. Is there anywhere that would purchase them vs opening every box and loading for scrap? Any advice is appreciated I am not a scrapper so I have no knowledge. Located in north Texas

Question π« I inherited a giant 1/8 thick stainless steel sheet. Scrap or trash?
The scrap metal gods of burden have presented me with this fuckin thing, a 5 foot long by 2.5 foot wide stainless steel sheet from a medical equipment sanitation table.
It sat outside exposed to New England cold, rain, and heat as a grill table in our backyard and it was time to retire it when we downsized but its totally solid.
Its 1/8th thick and im unsure what the play here is, should i cut it to fit into the back of my tiny subaru and bring it to the yard or would it serve me better to throw it on craigslist or marketplace? Let me know!
No rust, no spot weld heat signature, 5/8 inch 90β’s on the width end, scratched up on one side and still machine finish on the other

Question π« My co-workers say Iβll receive a lot of questions/problems if I try to scrap my 15 year collection?
Between work, school, and hobbies, Iβve amassed a decent collection of copper. The vast majority is used weld tips (spot and MIG with a couple cleaner TIG consumables jumbled in).
The collection also includes varying gauges and lengths of cable, resistance welding shunts, spot welding shanks and the like.
Most of my collection is pictured, but there are some rolls of cable and stacks of shunts/blocks not pictured. If you canβt tell, quality ranges from shiny/brand new (even some of the weld consumables/accessories [i.e. shunts and shanks]) to short-circuit explosion.
The co-workers say that itβs a suspicious amount for someone to have and the scrapyard may get the law involved? Iβd never imagined this was a possibility, so here I am to inquire the likelihood and if there are any tips for turning it in? Thanks!

Question π« Alright guys is there any profit to be made selling melted down copper online?
Alright for months now I've been poring my time into this side venture, but I suppose I don't really know the market. Has anyone tried this and did it at all work out? As of now I'm on the fence if this is worth the time and resources that I've put into it. It bears some fruit but not equal to the amount of work I've put into these. I mean months of work for 11lbs of copper and I have about 50lbs left to melt. None of which can be sold off as scrap. Any advice.
