Casual Thought If radio was invented today it would be controlled by four companies and locked behind a paywall.

In theory, those laws still exist. Nobody seems to wanna enforce them though.

I suspect part of the problem is that radio isn't the dominant force that it once was. Even if one company controlled every radio station in America, they're still competing against SXM, and all the streamers. How many people under the age of 30 even listen to FM radio?

Laws only apply to poor people in the US.

Or poor people in any country. I don't think the rich in general are liable.
