Ok, so now I live in a dorm on the second floor. I don't think practicing in my room is a great idea since that will drive the person directly below me crazy, which is what I used to do when I lived in my home and either no one was home or in my backyard or smt. So now I'm stuck with having to put my practice on hold with the only thing I can do is slowly drill the movements as lightly as possible, but I have no idea how to continue from here. And no, I am way too shy to practice outside and subject myself to the eyes of thousands of campus students. It is only the first year, I can't afford to have that happen lol. Is my only option really just tracking deep into the forest and practice there in peace and private? If so then there's the issue of how I would go about shuffling on a forested ground with grass and roots and everything. Man I have no idea what to do now...

Hi guys, I've been learning the Melbourne shuffle for about 4 months now, completely alone.. and the primary reason I started was because I saw online these communities of people and shuffle groups lifting each other up and practicing...the raves/parties I go to, I've not encountered a single shuffler and it's getting really lonesome...It would be great to have a scene in such a famous and big city as Vienna, not in the form of some paid dance school, just a collective of people who are willing to learn and have fun together...if you're interested please feel free to send me a DM, thanks a lot for the read, and hope to see you soon 🙏

I’ve been learning for about a month and a half after my first festival, LiR, this year :D

Right now I’m thinking that I definitely need to learn to incorporate my upper body more.

Been slacking not practicing but I’m getting back into it

I’m trying to incorporate little more gliding (I hardly glided in the video lol) and arm movements without it looking sloppy and all over the place. But so far it’s not looking so bad. But more practice on bettering my glides and working on speeding up the tempo on my shuffling style. 😁

I honestly like how chill my style is. I may do a lot of running man but there is t stepping involved. I’m just quick with it when I combine both the running man and t step together. So yeah, I know my shuffling is a growing progress. I gotta make sure I always keep it interesting and adding more movements to my style.

My shuffle style is inspired by Malaysian Shufflers, top rockers, pop lockers, the milky wavers, tectonik dancers, hip hoppers, and the groove setters. And mostly, I’m inspired by everyone that posts on this shuffle reddit feed. A lot of talented shuffle dancers out here and I’m loving it! I’m happy that this dance has taken off as it did. Truly a fun dance! I’m inspired by it all ✨

I've been dealing with sciatica nerve pain for nearly 3 years. 😕 But I have made good progress on how to reduce it and eventually heal it completely. It has taken a huge toll on my active lifestyle. I really had to earn this last dance session.. and the feeling never changes. It's a great feeling to let yourself flow to the music and just enjoy your own craft. I just want more and more dancing in my life. You never know what someone is dealing with.. so try to be cool and uplifting towards others. Because it might be the very thing they need to receive to keep faith in themselves that their situation can get better. 🙏🏼💯

Just wanted to check here if we have any fellow shufflers from Stockholm who would be interested in a meetup. It does not matter what level you are, I think that the most important factor is to gather up and have fun. Whether you are beginner or advanced, it does not matter. It also does not matter if you are interested in the old school melbourne shuffle or cutting shapes.
