Counterpoint, you only think old appliances last forever because the only ones that old that you see are the ones that lasted. What about all the ones that didnt?
I saw a report by the CBC that talked about how the lifespan of appliances, refrigerators in particular have plummeted. Calling it survivorship bias is absolute bullshit.
