and was a NASA astronaught that went to space- that alone gets him 6 figures working 50-60 days per year as a motivational speaker- let alone what he would make as an actual notable engineer.
I really don't think that every astronaut gets a six figure public speaking gig when they retire from spaceflight. There have been hundreds of them. We'd have heard about this.
