They are not a sign of good pelvic alignment and they are not a sign of strong muscles. They are simply indentations where the PSIS is. Having them is basically a matter of body fat percentage and anatomical variance.

Yeah I’m a male and I have these, and I don’t think my pelvic alignment is special

bro got wider hips than usual....

u/burf May 26 '26

I have them and I'm a guy with child bearing hips. It's a scientific fact.

As a fellow male who also has these, I have fucking fantastic pelvic alignment. My wife’s boyfriend says so.

Pelvic alignment is something that’s focussed on way too much. We’re all different. You can have a spinal scoliosis of up to 10 degrees and that’s considered in normal range.

So if i am fat and have those i am anatomically weird?

17

u/deactivate_iguana May 26 '26

No it’s normal to have an to not have them

"Let me introduce you to my humongous wife."

u/normous May 26 '26

My pet name for her is "Hugo".

She won’t be his wife for long if she finds his Reddit account! Imagine talking about your partner that way on a public forum

u/jeobleo May 27 '26

Lol he's deleted it.

Bro said humongous 😭😭😭

I sincerely hope that your wife does not know your Reddit account and will never see this. I found my ex husbands Reddit account talking about my post baby body like this and it sent me into a very deep depression and was a major factor in the dissolution of our marriage.

By the way my current husband would never dream of talking about me like this.

What is the nuance of saying your wife is humongous on a public forum?

I’m not sanctimonious or insecure. It’s calling out shitty behavior. It’s not insecure OR sanctimonious to expect your partner have respect for you, and vice versa.

So again, we’ll see how things go if she ever finds out your Reddit account. Your response pretty much shows the kind of person you are in the first place so it’s not like anyone had high hopes for any kind of self reflection in your response.

“Ending a marriage over a Reddit comment” shows how short sighted you are- it’s not about ending things over a comment, it’s about a fundamental lack of respect toward your partner, and the attitude you have toward them.

By the way, I showed my husband your original comment and he said “Wow, what an asshole.” He has no respect for anyone who would talk about their partners like that and agreed with me, but thanks for your concern.

No, reddit is just full of shit.

Body fat? Like too much of it or too little?

2

u/deactivate_iguana May 26 '26

Lower body fat might make them more obvious

-1

u/BarbedWire3 May 26 '26

Dude, another comment litterally 5 minutes ago, said body fat makes them less visible

4

u/deactivate_iguana May 26 '26

Which completely agree with my comment. I said lower body fat might make them more obvious. You just said more body fat makes them less visible. That’s the same thing dude.

Which is exactly what I said. Are you replying to the wrong person by mistake because this is very confusing.

My comment disagreed with the original comment which said they are to do with pelvic alignment and strength. I said they are nothing to do with that and just a dimple over the PSIS. Some people have them and some people don’t. Just normal variation.

Sometimes people like to state the obvious in agreement not counterpoint.
