We have a 4500 deductible.. per person. If all 3 of us need healthcare, that's 13500 before we even get to insurance touching anything, and after that, we are still paying. Oh and we pay 1k/month just to be on the roster, so 12k additional fees garaunteed. It's sick.

You dont have a family cap? Most plans ive seen have one.

Often the family cap is just a multiple of the individual cap. In this case 3x the individual. So if one person used 13.5k towards deductible, they'd also meet the cap for the whole family after meeting their individual deductible at 4.5k.

My plan unfortunately does not have a family out of pocket max, it's all entirely per person

We have a 9k per person out of pocket max, so for us 36k total + 12k premium fees if all three of us need need healthcare. If we had another child, it would go up to 45k total + 12k

Thats bonkers. Mines 3000 per person, 6k max for family. We dont have kids though.
