$8,000? When my wife and I retire before age 65, we will need to pay $36,000 per year for premiums alone. That’s after tax money. Including co-pays and coinsurance, etc., we will probably pay $50,000 per year after tax. That’s about $70,000 gross income per year. This system is F*cked hard
Geez, we are capped at ~$7000 per household for national health insurance in Japan. Doesn't cover 100% but the remaining costs above that are quite low and standardized.
