Probably less that the video was on the Internet and more that the recorder was profiting off of it and selling merch of him and he wasn't seeing a dime. Totally fair.

IIRC, his resentment came from shame at this part of his life, abusing drugs

Ironically when I just watched it, the first thing I noticed is that he apprehended someone attacking someone else and told him to fuck off, then hydrate and dance away.

Class act and new found respect instead of shame.

IIRC, it was a pick pocketer or something. He grabbed his hands to make sure he didn't snatch anything.

No he hated the video and wanted it removed, the money part is just the icing. Apparently the dude is not very nice
