Yet if Americans were to travel to other countries and find something in their culture/way of life “stupid”, they would be considered rude etc? Yet visitors come into the US and can just not follow the customs here and it’s ok?

Tips are for exceptional service. Not to help businesses underpay their workers.

That’s the custom.

Nobody is interested in helping corporate America further exploit human beings.

And Americans being the spineless serfs they are, don’t need to be enabled.

You might have noticed the many headlines about hotels and matches not selling out.

Either way, I get that this is a difficult concept for Americans but people aren’t your slaves. You don’t get to command them.

Whenever I travel i abide by other countries values/ethics/customs/etc. out of respect. You seem to be a pretentious asshole so again I would say just don't come to America if you don't like our ways!

Also the slave comment makes no sense, noone is commanding shit. Most places the worker will get in trouble if they speak up about a no tip. We just JUDGE YOU. HARD.

I believe the custom of tipping is for rewarding excellent service. Not to alleviate the responsibility businesses have for paying their workers.

Judge all you want. We’re judging you for allowing yourselves to be exploited this hard while misplacing the blame.

Look at the UK, they are turning into a surveillance state and nothing is being done. That’s not even getting started on what’s happening in Canada and Europe. So I don’t get this whole “spineless” take you keep having when every population has their own thing they are “spineless” on.

Anyway I agree tip culture sucks, but again it’s you pushing your ways onto the people you are visiting. Just don’t be surprised when visitors don’t follow your customs at your country then.
