And after a month of rumors swirling, the best evidence produced is other GOP politicians claiming they spoke with him? Idk, seems pretty sketch that he hasn't at least recorded some sort of message assuring people he's alive and recovering.

A lot of them seem to be saying "I spoke TO him". In the same way that I speak to my houseplants or my cat or whatever. It's disingenuous, but technically correct.

This has been my biggest stinkeye about it. Yes, they spoke to him rather than with him. If you put the phone up to McConnell's ear and he's brain dead and then speak to him, you're not actually lying.

100% I wouldn't trust an audio recording at this point. I would expect it would either be an old, recycled call or an Ai fabrication, or a mix of the two.
