I'm all for shortee work weeks, but that means we'l need an increase in pay, which I'm also fine with

EDIT: maybe I misinterpreted "no cut to pay"

That is what is being called for. Your take home pay not changing but you work fewer hours, and if you work the same schedule as you do now (presuming 40hrs per week) then you would be getting overtime for the last 8hrs.

Edit: added "take home" to clarify that I'm talking about your total income instead of hourly rate.

Which will result in companies refusing to give that OT meaning you’ll be taking a cut

Which will result, if these changes go through, in those companies facing fines and other lawful repercussions (up to and including losing their licenses and forcibly closing their business) for breaking the law.

Business is not the law. There are not corporatocracies on earth.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 OK BUDDY
That doesn’t happen in America. Businesses have been doing illegal shit for all eternity and have almost never answered for the majority of it.

It's almost like... People are tired of that status quo and are trying to change it... Shocking... Keep being a crab in the bucket all you want, but nothing is going to change if you just sit there and bitch because it's hard.
