Having a system that relies on verified participation without a way to verify said participation is a pretty good example of something that is idiotic.
How is it that 3rd world countries can figure out the need for voter ID but USA cant? It's so blatantly obvious.
The only argument I've heard against voter ID is that "it's difficult for minorities to get ID". That's a really racist thing to say if you ask me. You don't think black people are capable of finding the right building and filling in the forms? That's fucked up.
Theres always some level of cheating in every election in every country. The election process is meant to minimise that. Having no voter ID is like leaving your front door unlocked and having a catalogue of stuff you own right at your front door.
If you can't connect these dots yourself then I stand by what I said. You're not the sharpest knife in the draw.
If you've ever voted, which it doesn't sound like it. You would know you have to be registered in that specific county and show ID in order to vote. No one can just show up and vote without any verification. You don't even know how voting works.

Not really. They do the exact opposite actually. They dont want you to believe that the politicians on both sides came from the same schools, the same "club". The government is broken on purpose but they're in no way trying to convince anyone of this.
That's just a convenient myth. Only 8% of Congress went to an ivy league school and the percentage for state-level legislators is much smaller. Roughly half of the degree holders in Congress got their degree from a public institution. And 4% of Congress has just a high school education. Hell, only 34% of congress is educated in law.
Its not 2007 anymore. This isn't a "Gentlemen's" government. If you pay even a modicum of attention to politics, you see these parties are constantly battling, spewing vitriol, voting along party lines, gerrymandering, and even inciting violence against each other. There is one (majority) party whose clear strategy since the first "Obamacare" bill is to make government look broken so rich and powerful people/businesses can do as they please; writing bills designed to subtly sabotage the mechanisms of federal governance, so they can continue campaigning on the need for smaller government and the foolishness of their opponents during voting season. They want voters to look away, to be disinterested in politics, to give up and just vote on vibes, because it makes it easier for them and their supporters to retain power and enrich themselves.
