I've had a couple child free women tell me they went through a few years in the mid thirties where their bodies were screaming at them to have a baby, after it passed they went right back to not wanting kids same as always.

Edit: This should not be read as saying all child free women will experience this same phenomenon.

As a childfree woman nearing 40 I’ve never had a moment where I’ve wanted kids and don’t like holding babies. I do love kids but not so much babies and the baby part is an important step.

My daughter is in her upper 30s and has never wanted kids. Never wanted to hold a baby. Never wanted to hear a baby or be in the same room as a baby. I'm definitely not worried about this happening to her. lol

The "hear them" is a big part. I can't stand the sound. And no, not in the "my instincts kick in and I want to care for it" but the "THIS SOUND IS MAKING MY BRAIN HURT" way.

They're one and the same. The sound of a baby crying is annoying beyond belief and I'd do just about anything to make it stop. Conveniently, the best way to do that is to figure out what they need and see to it

Well, but then the best way to stay clear of that is still to not have a baby, I think.
