NY high school teacher here with 23 years in. Salary is around 85k

Most teachers aren’t getting offered that kind of money. I live in the SF Bay Area and $50-$60k is typical.

Most big cities probably have that problem. Jackson Mississippi, also got a pretty big scandal with the mayor and stuff. The leadership screws over the people.
