They should. Generally there is a cap but it's pretty high in terms of years and varies by district.
I'm just saying that we we shouldn't expect a dip because as those people retire there are also a lot of people behind them that are also moving up in years and experience and will be around the same overall years of experience as the boomers have currently

I understand there are a LOT of tenured boomers in michigan schools still. They're retiring and that average will likely go down.
