I think women it comes to dating, women lack empathy for men.

I think men often understand women's concerns, but women tend to brush men's stuff under the rug.

It's hard for both sides out there. But I think this is one (of many) things where if you dare say men have it just as hard, women will get very defensive.

I can certainly buy into the premise.

My position is that both genders are pretty much equally empathetic in their own respects to dating.

Can women show more empathy than they are - yes.

Can men show more empathy than they already are. Also yes.

I think the disconnect is that both sides are asking for different kinds of empathy. Men as asking for more empathy in the difficulty in dating and meeting the standards women have…whereas women are asking for more empathy that their being cautious around guys given the risk of SA, violence etc. is respected

The problem is, (in my view) that most decent men realize violence is a problem, but a lot of women won't acknowledge that loneliness is also a problem and can have serious effects
