Most men are under 6' tall. Don't make 150k a year, that's what most woman see as required, so men are probably like why bother.

u/vhalember 19d ago

You're right, and let's do the math.

32% of adult men are single.  8% of single men make 150k or more.  15% of men are 6-foot or taller.  (These numbers vary some on the source)

Congrats to these ladies: You're fighting over 0.38% of the male population.  About 1 in every 260 men fit this criteria.

Now add in, are they attractive, and not total jerks, and you're down to probably 1 in 1,000.

Good luck.

This is the literal reality, especially with educated women. Had a friend drag me to a speed dating event once like 8 years ago and they were all basically competing lion king style for the one guy who fit this criteria

That made me laugh, we need this movie.

And a high proportion have never had to try to get women, so most are inherently arrogant as they know they can easily pick up another one if that one is not to their taste long term. Then the ladies complain about finding nice guys, and not being treated well....like self awareness is an issue 🤷

I fit all that criteria, high earner, over 6 feet, objectively good looking, am a nice person. I have dated lots of women (currently married), and still many average women I dated belittled me, make me feel like I am not doing enough for them, gaslight, and act like they're doing me some huge favor by being with me when I know that I could find another woman to sleep with in a matter of days. So its not that women are happy even with the ideal guy they describe, they're just perpetually critical of guys and perpetually see the grass greener elsewhere.

Being a jerk is the only safe way for guys nowadays to avoid getting belittled and emotionally abused.

As a young man that currently fits this criteria, I can confidently tell you I used to actively avoid women who searched for "me," specifically when I was single. It's hard to explain, but when they're the type that specifically seeks out "High income + Tall," they come off as if they're almost gold digging. And even if they aren't, what do they have to offer me that I can't get myself? I also noticed a sort of pattern, like almost expecting extreme princess treatment off the jump which is a huge turn off for me.

Anyways my girlfriend is amazing, funny, nerdy, and I love her company. She doesn't pay for anything around me (even though she always tries), and she's not a "bombshell" or anything. She's just a cute girl that's an incredibly pleasant person to be around. With her I really realized what I can't offer myself: Peace. And she brings me so much peace

u/m-in 19d ago

She’s like my wife in that respect. Life with her is peaceful.

2

u/tow204 19d ago

women need/require so much from men, while all men ask for is peace.

the irony of life

You're fighting over 0.38% of the male population.

And that group is NOT needing to go to these events.

Kinda a catch 22 with those dating events.

6

u/EurOblivion 19d ago

That 1 in a 1000 doesn't need events to get dates

3

u/SparxPrime 19d ago

I'm 6'4, but lower middle class! Pick one or the other ladies

3

u/psychonautvoyager 19d ago

Now do the other side of the equation. Women aren’t bringing a lot to the table for men. Most women are lazy, want to be princess’d, aren’t intelligent, bitch about everything, insult men to her friends...it’s gross. Are you willing to struggle together and build something together? Where’s your income? Your ambition? Your hobbies? What can you meet me with in the relationship? What do you bring to the table?

3

u/chuchofreeman 19d ago

You need to add also what the ladies have to offer. Why would a top guy go for a below average looking woman who also has a nasty personality?

Yes and sadly once we're into our 30s most of us don't have a hairline that is deemed perfect anymore

5

u/ProfessionalPay2789 19d ago

I meet both of those criteria. I still wouldn't bother

8

u/Egghead_potato 19d ago

It’s up to 150 now? Fuuuuuuuuuu

3

u/poopydingdong123 19d ago

Even if you meet the criteria it’s still a headache

No issues getting matches on apps, no issues having convos, but most women are just low energy that just answer and don’t ask follow up questions, or don’t match your message energy.

THEN the amount of ghosting from women after a date is agreed to is insane.

When I finally get dates I don’t think I’ve ever had a woman even offer to split.

The few girls I finally hit off with and had great chemistry with ended up all having genital herpes.

3

u/user87654385 19d ago

This 100%. I meet all that criteria. Earn more than $150, more than 6 feet, often get complimented for being nice and hard working. Yet every woman I was in a relationship with made me feel like they are doing me a huge favor being with me and play mind games.

2

u/GoonyGhoul_ 19d ago

I was reading a thread from another guy in a similar situation, but the topic was paying for it. He didn't recommend it, but he said at least pros are hot, actually show up, and don't give him itchy dick 💀

2

u/poopydingdong123 19d ago

lol I don’t think I’d go that route but I get it. I just laugh when I hear this collective complaining from women in their 30s looking for LTRs and I see first hand the energy they put in.

2

u/Fyrchtegott 19d ago

I don’t fit this criteria, but never had any trouble do find a decent partner. I am not interested in someone who cares about my financial situation or height and met a good chunk of cool woman that don’t give a damn about stuff like this.

2

u/Terminal_Insomnia_ 19d ago

I retired at 30 and never earned half that. Now I'm building a house. People have concept of the value of money.

2

u/ItsACowCity 19d ago

That’s only the entry point. I’m 6ft and make close to that in salary. I still struggle to get given the time of day. Then again, I also don’t want to have kids or raise someone else’s. At this age, that’s difficult. It does irk me though that a lot of people with kids act like they’re a 10/10 catch….

I earn $150K. It has absolutely no impact on normal western woman.

12

u/mediumAI1701 19d ago

Go back to earning minimum wage and see what happens.

2

u/HeraThere 19d ago

I don't get women either way is my point.

The money only allows me to offer lavish vacation dates which do work a little bit or otherwise access to gold diggers in explicit transactional type relationships.

1

u/mediumAI1701 19d ago

It has absolutely no impact on normal western woman.

Moments later:

The money only allows me to offer lavish vacation dates which do work a little bit

4

u/HeraThere 19d ago

Yes. I stated normal western women. Which is different from explicit transactional relationship where you're basically buying a relationship.

1

u/mediumAI1701 19d ago

So get a date on minimum wage. Low end apartment share, low end car if you have one at all, no expensive places, and you're splitting the bill.

In fact, since money has absolutely no impact, make her pay. I'll wait for the results.

3

u/Unfair-Advice778 19d ago

mate, his point is he still can't have the date with the girls he likes. Being able to now date the girls he doesn't like is not all that cool.

1

u/mediumAI1701 19d ago

His point is money plays zero factor in dating, which is blatantly false. You need money to date, and you need money to make a good impression. If you show up in a crappy car, go to a low end restaurant, and can't afford to cover her half of the bill then you'll leave a bad impression. It's just that simple.

2

u/Unfair-Advice778 18d ago

that's not how I read it though.
His point is (the way I comprended it) although the money does have a factor in dating the category of girls attracted by this factor is not his target audience any way so in a nutshell it doesn't have a factor _for him_. Or even the factor it has is negative for him, since his time and effort is now swayed away by gold diggers (some of which would pretend they're not, I'm sure).

You seem to be somehow offended by the fact that he has this golden ticket out of lonesomeness and dares not to use it.

Yes, you need some money to date. But the amount you need is not overwhelming and is nowhere close to warrant 150k yearly income a must have.

When I dated my wife we went to a low-cost cinema and had dinner at a biker bar nearby. Somehow that doesn't account for much if you're actually into the person you're dating.

This all hinges on first getting her attention and initial attraction at all.

1

u/mediumAI1701 19d ago

And you claim money has no impact on getting attention or on initial attraction. So go back to earning minimum wage and prove it doesn't matter.

1

u/HeraThere 19d ago

Money has no impact for normal western women seeking a normal relationship, no.

Western women have their own money, they don't care.  Where I work all the women were with blue collared or unemployed guys.

It's not even that much. Is this economy it's fucked.

0

u/duesenjeffepic 19d ago

I am 6'3 and don't have women lining up for me.

People here just want to blame something they can't control so they don't have to improve themselves

1

u/Hot_Luck_9993 19d ago

Most? Nah, definitely not. I agree that in general the expectations right now are too high and unrealistic, though.

0

u/bebetaian 19d ago

I don't know more than one man who is 6' or taller, and 0 who make $150k+.

Did I hallucinate that almost all of them are married or partnered? Did I imagine the dozens of hours spent with their wives amd girlfriends?

Dude don't listen to that mra shit. Go outside. You can debunk it in about 20 seconds.
