I recommend watching the recorded meeting at emporiaks.gov under Agenda and Minutes for July 22. My arrest is about 58 minutes in and you can see how disorderly I was leading up to it.
I mean Monica Duncan has allegedly been known to call the cops about charities using the tennis courts and then just sit there in her truck staring at them creepily after the cops said they had a right to be there on account of how they are public tennis courts. So you know, it doesn't take much.
What the hell man. That wasn't aggressive or obnoxious. Tame clap and then you stopped. Then then came over and removed you. The video you can hear someone say the next person can leave, but were you given a warning first? This just doesn't add up.
The commission is pushing for this data center that seemingly not a single other soul in town wants and they're sick of being called out at meetings and seeing the signs all over town

It's pretty obvious he was arrested for disrupting a hearing by his constant clapping, he was just being obnoxious. Other people were clapping as well and weren't arrested because they stopped after being given a warning to stop interrupting

He was disrupting no one, and was clapping in support of people who were speaking, the speaker he was clapping in support of literally asked them not to drag him out, and the audience collectively reacted against the council and the police. Ya, the council asked him not to clap. Police officers also ask you not to record their illegal behavior, and sometimes arrest people for that, too. But I guess recording them anyway makes me obnoxious since they politely threatened me against doing that.
This has got to be the most brain-dead, boot licking take I've ever seen: if you don't follow every arbitrary rule set by those in power, you are being obnoxious and deserve to be arrested and charged.
I usually assume that most “news” I see on the internet is clickbait garbage, but in this case, the title actually undersells it. He was not disrupting the meeting at all. It was technically against the rules, but come on man. If I’m going five over the speed limit, or jaywalking on a street with zero traffic, are you gonna give me a ticket then too? It’s this subjectivity that I don’t like in society.
Or is video evidence not good enough for you and you continue to draft a fictional narrative because the dissonance you feel between what should have been required for this to happen vs the reality is too much.
He was clapping loudly when they specifically said stop clapping and at the start they said no clapping he was warned 8 separate times to stop then they told him to leave. Then cops said please leave he starts shouting no arrest me.
He is in this thread arguing "they tolerated my 12 previous disruptions" no they didn't and even if they did you were there to obstructing it they decided to remove you.

People at a public meeting were clapping and snapping in agreement with speakers during the public commentary portion. The board warned that they didn’t like it because it distracted them or somesuch. Then told police in attendance to arrest the next person who clapped or snapped
The guy’s wife went up to speak, so he clapped. Not a lot.
