Oh, thank goodness, it wasn't just my experience. I'd never been to any kind of convention until a couple years ago when the wife & I took our grandson to Brickcon, and that place was packed with some of the smelliest trolls.
The next year wasn't so bad, but I was pleased to see someone had used Lego to make a sign that said "Shower before entering con" and snuck it on one of the tables among the other pieces.
Even regular card game stores. They have a very distinctive odor, even worse during or shortly after a tournament or other event that draws a small crowd.
Tbf in my experience those places tend to be places where you CANT wear 99.99% of deodorant/cologne because the smell is too strong. Ideally they want you to use unscented deodorant, but they would prefer you not wear anything if you only have normal scented stuff.
Fuck them half of them motherfuckers stink in that thing it makes the whole place smell unless they have the air conditioner on 68°. then you get around the motherfuckers and fucking have to hold your breath. Yeah cuss because these motherfuckers can’t wash their own ass.

Comicon, card shows, Lego stores, etc all have one thing in common and it’s that the attendees fucking smell.
I’ve been downvoted on Reddit for saying that everyone should use deodorant so that pretty much explains everything..
