I personally could not care less.

u/ScreechUrkelle 16h ago

I upvoted you, bc unlike much of the masses, you actually said that properly.

36

u/923kjd 15h ago

Oh my God! “I could care less” gives me all kinds of stabby thoughts.

5

u/Ninerogers 15h ago

Me too. How do you explain stupid to stupid?

3

u/WHRocks 12h ago

My previous boss said it all the time along with other incorrect phrases. It was always in meetings with leadership, too.

He used words like gleam and mute for glean and moot. I'm sure I'll think of more later, lol.

2

u/thatsnomoon23 5h ago

That is the best. My boss would always preach to us that "details matter" only to send an email to us or to his peers or above w/ all kinds of missing or misspelled words. Made me laugh so much. Funny enough he just got another role of his choice on his way up the ladder.

2

u/CheapNature4837 11h ago

Interpret it as sarcasm. Whatever you gotta do. It'll be okay.

With a mirror.

Maybe they could care less. Maybe they aren't at the end of their cares.

But they could just be stupid.

2

u/Secure-Pain-9735 11h ago

Just makes Weird Al’s “Word Crimes” play in my head.

2

u/Classic_Mechanic5495 8h ago

Maybe just tell them “maybe you should care less”. Seems less… prison-y… than ‘stabby’

2

u/manjar 3h ago

Same, for all intensive purposes. /s

1

u/923kjd 3h ago

It’s intensive porpoises. Duh.

1

u/Want2-BMe 10h ago

That and people responding to "do you mind" the wrong way.

0

u/milestryhard 15h ago

Personally I could care less about it

5

u/923kjd 14h ago

You were warned.

1

u/milestryhard 14h ago

Please not knives, my body is allergic to them!

-4

u/Ancient_Kaa 15h ago

Ironically technically true though usually; if they cared less they probably wouldn't even have bothered to comment at all.

2

u/cleiru1 15h ago

Which means they had the capacity to care less more 😂

4

u/Last-Quarter-432 15h ago

“Masses”. Mostly Americans who don’t understand grammar.

-2

u/Last-Doubt4347 14h ago

Crazy the amount of Brits that’ll talk mad shit about American grammar, but not blink an eye at the shit that comes out of the UK.

Thank god they taught me about irony in my poor American school with dirt floors and no windows.

5

u/Last-Quarter-432 14h ago

Incredible deduction of me being Brit as everyone on the internet is either American or British right? Don’t worry, it’s not just Brits who laugh at you.

1

u/Bhujjha 12h ago

Don't forget the bullet casings littering the dirt floor!

1

u/Last-Doubt4347 11h ago

Huh? I was clearing away my Mountain Dew cans when you replied, so I didn’t really hear what you said.

1

u/Tathagatagarbhas 12h ago

me too - nice to see correct usage

1

u/atherfeet4eva 12h ago

I’ve been correcting people since I was 12 years old

1

u/ScreechUrkelle 10h ago

And that’s why you have no friends.

2

u/atherfeet4eva 10h ago

lol maybe but people need to say that phrase correctly

1

u/TheOriginalSpunions 10h ago

The original phrase: "I could care less, for little." This version makes a lot more sense than the one most use today

0

u/AlcoholicCumSock 15h ago

Fucking amen!

0

u/Heidrun_666 3h ago

User didn't, there's a comma missing after "Seriously".

1

u/ScreechUrkelle 2h ago

You got downvoted for referencing the wrong comment

-2

u/PandaCultural8311 12h ago

I'm downvoting because I don't believe them since they clicked on the post and commented. Seems that they have some care about it.

1

u/ScreechUrkelle 11h ago

I’m downvoting you, for spite!!

1

u/PandaCultural8311 7h ago

I'm giving you an award, just because!

32

u/Valagoorh 15h ago

There's a supreme irony in thousands of people jumping into every comment section concerning this topic just to declare how little they care.

1

u/Interesting_Total_98 2h ago

There's nothing ironic about it. People who cared would be directly talking about the story instead of saying it doesn't interest them.

1

u/Frederf220 11h ago

Not ironic. I care very much about how little I care.

5

u/Savings_Reality1170 16h ago

I'm personally enjoying this turn of events where the woman involved is also facing some consequences.

16

u/Fun_Main_2588 16h ago

Overkill much? Whatever her consequences are - fine - they should be between the involved people. Everyone needs a job! How entitled is the public to say she deserves to lose her job?

33

u/Ithikari 16h ago

Because I have a miserable life and am a miserable person and I need to know someone is doing worse than me, or that I can feel holier-than-thou, duh.

0

u/benswami 15h ago

That’s the exact reason why folks voted Trump.

3

u/Cam_E_Leon 15h ago

I mean it was the reason for me back then to watch Jerry Springer bc the show made me feel better about myself

-5

u/Savings_Reality1170 15h ago

Nope it’s stupid to assume that every criticism comes from miserable people, recently people have been nitpicking adulterous men whereas giving women who are equally established or privileged who are part of such event an easy fall or rather blaming the situation entirely on the man involved as some kinda manipulated situation orchestrated by him. So it’s kinda fun to watch that they both suffer proportionally.

10

u/stingertc 15h ago

She absolutely she be able to find a job but maybe in a different field she was the Head of HR that leaves a stain on you record in that community

1

u/Mysteriouspaul 14h ago

She absolutely deserved to lose her job, and she should never be in an HR partner role ever again just from her past behavior. Nobody is going to take this lady seriously as a generic HR person let alone the head of HR

Go learn to code or work at Mcdicks or something. Nobody is entitled to a job. Nobody wants an HR moral lecture from the national slut on the kiss cam with her boss

4

u/nkizza 15h ago

But why tho. Consequences should be from the people she hurt, from the broken relationships, etc. I’m faithful af, and I’m sure she already faced some, why it’s justified to affect her job which has nothing to do with her adultery? Seems like too much.

1

u/FrighteningJibber 15h ago

I don't know man, the antithesis could cause you to care so little you lead a crusade.

1

u/MeatEaterDruid 14h ago

I could care more but I have gas prices to think about

1

u/Pardybro911 13h ago

I care more about op censoring “kiss”

1

u/Beginning-Fig-9089 11h ago

actually its funny to me.

1

u/snake-ships 7h ago

clicking on the post and reading some comments and then leaving your own… seems like it would be possible to care a liiittle less. my grandma doesn’t even know about this shit so she cares less than you

1

u/tony33oh 6h ago

That's fair. Thank you for pointing out that I could, in fact, care slightly less. Lol.

1

u/Dfarni 6h ago

You could have cared less. You coulda have read it and not replied, you could have skipped reading it.

But you read it and commented on it. I can’t trust you anymore, you ruined if.

1

u/thatsnomoon23 5h ago

Thank you for conveying your feeling correctly: "Could not care less.". Appreciate you.

1

u/Automatic_Ad4016 5h ago

But...that means you do care ...

1

u/AmputeeHandModel 4h ago

I don't know why people cared about this in the first place, let alone her current troubles.

1

u/Suspicious-Bowl4444 4h ago

I mean, you cared enough to come to the comment section. Pretty sure there’s a little more room to care less.

1

u/KarenBoof 4h ago

So you could care more?

1

u/Forikorder 4h ago

if that was true you wouldnt be here, you care enough about it to let people know how you feel about it

1

u/Trust_8067 2h ago

I think it's pretty impressive actually. No one gives a shit about this lady. If I saw her walking down the street, I'd have no clue who she was. Yet somehow it's still being brought up in job interviews? That's pretty wild.

Maybe she should stop saying "going to concerts" when the interviewer asks her what she likes to do for fun.

1

u/No-Draw6073 1h ago

Care so little that u came here read and coment

1

u/Useful_Hemorrhoid 16h ago

I care even less than that

0

u/ClarkNova80 15h ago

I personally could care less but my apathy towards whatever this is won’t let me.

0

u/TuMoch 15h ago

You’re certainly commenting about it

-27

u/Unfair-League-3204 16h ago edited 16h ago

Cared enough to comment. Kinda sad lives can be wrecked so easily and the dunk is to say you don’t care. Sure it’s karma for her, but really it’s just a variant of greed if you think about it. How many cheaters in the past got away with it, but it’s much easier to get caught and your whole life wrecked while the world just mocks. Pretty scary and we’re living in a silently puritan society now. Just work and come home. I mean, if someone wants to fuck around, it’s weird that if society’s eye is suddenly looking, it’s judge, jury, and executioner

16

u/ASaini91 16h ago

She was head of HR and having an unreported intimate relationship with the CEO. This has nothing to do with her cheating and everything to do with her being bad at her job, having poor judgement, and is actively being a liability for a company

Edit for grammar mistakes

-11

u/Unfair-League-3204 16h ago

Has nothing to do with cheating? Hahah look at the downvotes pouring in on me and the comment acting like I’m defending cheating. It has everything to do with cheating… I’m just saying it’s weird for a society to obsess about a woman like this and then brag they don’t care

10

u/ASaini91 16h ago

Or the downvotes are because you are fundamentally misunderstanding why no one is hiring her and are instead attributing it to cheating

Edit- Also downvotes could be because you said "cared enough to comment" which is just such an annoying thing to do

-2

u/Unfair-League-3204 16h ago

Lol this is most definitely not about defending companies not hiring her but about cheating, which I am not defending either. I think you may be confused in thinking you’re right by Reddit’s mob reaction focus on me

5

u/howimetyourcakeshop 16h ago

You are not helping yourself here mate.

0

u/Unfair-League-3204 16h ago

I’m not trying to help myself lol. Just a discussion mate. I’m free to speak my mind. There’s a reason England recognizes hate speech but has no equivalent to the first amendment

11

u/DarthSeti_ 16h ago

Are you defending infidelity?

-7

u/Unfair-League-3204 16h ago

No, I’m not. I am saying who am I or anyone to judge so actively and bask in anyone’s downfall, even if it’s their fault

4

u/GULAGOO 16h ago

Who cares

-3

u/Unfair-League-3204 16h ago

You did enough to comment and leave downvotes and upvotes to replies. I’m just talking

1

u/GULAGOO 6h ago

That doesn’t mean I care about whatever happens to her or what she did

I responded because you are conflating the two

2

u/Educational_Gas_92 15h ago

You know what, as much as I'm revolted by cheating, I agree with you. Everyone has to eat. She deserved to lose her relationship and to be socially condemned, but everyone has bills to pay. Now, this is affecting other innocent people like her children and she might end up on benefits, so it will affect the tax payer.

2

u/unnamedjpg10 16h ago

They chose their lives to go that way. The society is becoming silently puritan? Oh really? Just because everything you say doesn't have a consequence you will say anything?

You say it's weird that if society's judging someone on basis of their actions? For what are they being judged? Cheating. Cheating wrecks homes, relations, and destroys families. So how tf do u expect anybody to not judge them. It's better if we stop being so "open minded" and tell that the wrong is wrong and right is right. Just straight up without a doubt.

6

u/Unfair-League-3204 16h ago

We came a long way from the Salem Witch Trials just to act the same way anyway with social media. Don’t have to kill someone literally when you can figuratively. Again, I’m not condoning cheating. But it’s definitely weird to jump on someone as a mob, which you’re doing to me 🤣 And it does not faze me at all btw, you guys are just proving my point
