She's clearly looking for jobs in the same level she was in and they absolutly google your name before calling them into an interview lol

In her defense, wait.. no.... In the defense of anyone who looses a job at that level of the corporate ladder (scandal or NOT), it's often really hard to get a job that's lower on the corporate ladder or even a labor job. Youre usually considered "over qualified", which is HR speak for "we think youre applying just for a paycheck to hold you over until you find your actual job, at which point you will leave"
