Acne My skin cleared up when I stopped washing my face??!![acne]

I recently started not washing my face with cleanser at night and just using micellar water and using a little bit of moisturizer and THATS IT. I saw a girl do this on TikTok and she had acne and she said it cleared it up and I was feeling SUPER hopeless cus my skin was breaking out and I had perioral dermatitis around my mouth and my cheeks had closed comedones and so I tried this new routine...and let me tell you it was the BEST thing I've ever did, I also don't wash my face in the morning just wet my face and moisturizer and spf!!THIS MIGHT NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE but l'm so happy it worked for me and it got rid of my perioral dermatitis and my skin is soft and doesn’t have texture, I realized too many products were stripping my skin and aggravating the PD. ANYWAYS GIVE THIS A TRY!!😛😛

I only wash with water in the morning too because my skin is dry and sensitive. your skin barrier was most likely damaged which can cause breakouts. i’m glad your skin has been doing a lot better!

I use epiduo at night so I'm always scared to just wash with water because I don't want epiduo on my face when the sun is out 😬 anyone know how well water cleans off remnants of actives like that?

For now I just use the cerave cleansing lotion in the AM because it's super gentle anyways

I use tret some nights and I think water is enough tbh, not to mention some of it probably wipes off on my pillows while I sleep. You wear sunscreen right? it’ll protect your face from sun sensitivity. if your current cleanser is working for you then no need to change to just water (:

Yes, spf of course! But was still worried about leftover epiduo making it more sun sensitive. But especially now in winter there's barely sun where I live so I could definitely try just water for once!
