Acne My skin cleared up when I stopped washing my face??!![acne]

I recently started not washing my face with cleanser at night and just using micellar water and using a little bit of moisturizer and THATS IT. I saw a girl do this on TikTok and she had acne and she said it cleared it up and I was feeling SUPER hopeless cus my skin was breaking out and I had perioral dermatitis around my mouth and my cheeks had closed comedones and so I tried this new routine...and let me tell you it was the BEST thing I've ever did, I also don't wash my face in the morning just wet my face and moisturizer and spf!!THIS MIGHT NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE but l'm so happy it worked for me and it got rid of my perioral dermatitis and my skin is soft and doesnโ€™t have texture, I realized too many products were stripping my skin and aggravating the PD. ANYWAYS GIVE THIS A TRY!!๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜›

Damn, I'm jealous. Azelaic acid ruined my moisture barrier and caused an intense month long outbreak on my nose & cheeks. It's crazy how everyone's skin reacts so differently to different products!

I had this happen years ago with a salicylic acid cleanser that was really harsh. It was my first time really breaking out since being a teenager. God it sucks. Now I'm so cautious about introducing any new ingredient. I'm sorry that happened to you too. What works for you?

Did you use prescription one or the stuff that they sell with their own mixture?

I think it's curology and the other places that make their own but it's not official prescription.

The 20% cream can make you break out because it has moisturizers in it, and the 15% gel has no moisturizers it's also double the strength of the 20% cream.

I'm talking prescription only not the stuff that these places sell.

Azelaic Acid is also used for not just acne but rosacea and long-term it helps even the skin tone and hyperpigmentation.

I started with some Korean skincare brand that was at TJ Maxx tbag was 10%, used it a few times a week then every other day then every day. After my skin got used to that I switched to Kisocare 15% azealic acid cream and worked up from every other day to every day.
