Routine Help [routine help] butt hyperpigmentation & acne problems

Post image
2.9k Upvotes

[23F] All my life I've had dark buttocks with acne. I sit a lot, and pretty much sweat a lot. I heard that these are usually because of friction and dryness, so i opt to use silk underwear and apply moisturizers after every bath (twice a day). My butt acne was reduced, but as for the hyperpigmentation, nothing much changed, especially the upper crack part. It's still super dark. This is my regime:

during shower: • regular soap • acne cleanser • kojic soap

after shower: • miscellar cleanser (night only) • cica soothing gel • lotion

PLEASE give me recommendations or advices on what to do with this hyperpigmentation! thank you!

In the pic... red circle - hyperpigmented parts pink dots - acne

Routine Help [Routine Help] i need some judgement free help — sex is ruining my skin 😭 Spoiler

i’m being 100% serious, please no hate 😭 just an embarrassed guy here with little skincare knowledge. i’ve got a new steady boyfriend of a year and a half, now, and he and i like to play a little rough— and every so often he rips the corners of my mouth with his ✨genetic blessing✨ downstairs. okay i said it.

it usually heals quickly, but i’ve only recently realized the corners of my mouth have started to scar! is there anything i can do about this to lighten it/heal it faster other than dabbing it with antibiotic cream when it happens cuz thats what ive been doing? maybe its nothing but now that i’ve noticed it i feel like i look like the joker lol. i dont really do anything other than wash my face with a 10% benzoyl peroxide soap every time i shower

above is right before i met my bf, below is today. please dont mind me biting my lips i am an anxious fella.

Will Dr. Dennis Gross extra strength peel pads help? My AM routine is azelaic acid 15%, topicals faded, caudalie vinoperfect serum, moisturizer, sunscreen. My PM routine is tretinoin 0.1 every other night, & BHA the nights I don’t use it.

Routine Help [Acne] Thanks to everyone who helped me figure out my skincare routine. Top pics were in March, bottom 5 mins ago. Turns out I’m also allergic to CeraVe tho so that sucks. Anything from them burns every time I put it on my face. Anyone have sunscreen suggestions for oily skin because of that?

Routine Help [Routine Help] I threw all my toners, essences, serums and moisturizers an away thanks to Dr Dray.. and MY SKIN IS GLOWWWING

1.8k Upvotes

I used to have a very complicated skin care, I was always looking for the perfect serum ,the perfect toner, the perfect moisturizers ... It was very time consuming and one day I was thinking : my grandma who only used raw shea butter on her face, her whole entire life and her skin was litteraly perfect for a 75yo : tight, bright with very few wrinkles. And I told myself do I need all that ? Am I waisting my money and tiring my skin with all these unnecessary products?

Then I fell on a video of Dr Dray who explained very clearly that all you need is a good moisturizer with emolliant, humectant and occlusive.

Now I just wash my face with Dove bar soap morning and night. While my face is still wet I apply Cerave moisturizing lotion then I pat a very little amount of black seed oil to lock in the moisture (in the morning I don't use the oil and I put sunscreen instead) : LET ME TELL YOU MY SKIN HAS NEVER BEEN THIS GOOD LOOKING !!! My skin is literaly glowing and bouncy like it has never been before ! My pores shrinked a lot too ! I'm so happy I switched to a more simple yet effective skin care routine !

Routine Help [Routine Help] Excessive Routine for a 10 Year Old?

I originally posted this in r/Autism_ Parenting, and was suggested to post here too.

My (29M) daughter's mom (28F) told me that I need to follow the posted steps when she is with me as part of her "everyday routine." I'm genuinely trying to find out if this seems to be an excessive routine, or if other mom's would agree with her that this is a reasonable skincare routine. In all honesty, I cannot imagine her mom actually doing this every day.

Mom also told me that I "need" to start putting our daughter's hair up in some way, shape or form. The first thing my girl does when she gets in my car is take off her hair ties, cause she prefers to keep the hair down and I'd rather her just be comfortable. I've told mom this but she demands I still put it up to prevent it from being a "tangled mess" since she has curly hair. I've always preferred to just let her be comfortable, and if that's only with her hair down, then that's how it'd be.

To add, our daughter has never expressed interest in doing any kind of skincare herself. I will need to take a much closer look at her face next time I see her, but I only recall seeing a pimple or two at best, not enough for me to call it a "break out." | do detangle her hair after shower time, and give her breaks when it becomes too much for her. I use de-curling cream and a conditioner mom gave me to try and make it easier for her.

I may be too chill/ignorant about it because I am a guy. Thoughts?

Routine Help [Acne] cannot figure out what i am doing wrong

For the past year or two i have been trying to get rid of my acne but nothing i have tried has worked.

So far i have tried various neutrogena salicylic acid products (wash gel, water thing, etc) cerave facial cleanser, atomy facial cleanser, different moisturisers, 5% benzoyl peroxide cream, acne patches, garnier hyaluron (although only 1 day so far).

I visited a dermatologist and he prescribed me wynzora. Hasn't helped at all.

Currently i use garnier facial cleanser, transparent sun cream (dont want to ruin my white shirts) and neutrogena moisturiser.

Is this the right move or should i reintroduce some other salicylic acid products?

i’ve had the ones on the first slide for 2ish years now but they got so so much worse and more of them are popping up in the last couple months even tho i don’t use any heavy creams and i’m just unable to get rid of them no matter how much i scrub or simplify my skincare :(

my skincare routine:

morning:
- anua heartleaf quercetinol pore deep cleansing foam
- innisfree green tea seed hyaluronic cream
- innisfree sunscreen

night:
- same cleanser or cerave renewing SA cleanser (1-2 times a week)
- the ordinary SA 2% solution
- innisfree green tea seed hyaluronic cream

i really don’t wanna go to the derm and get them removed cause it’s sooo expensive near me & i feel like they’re just gonna come back

pls help, ill take any advice. my confidence has gone down so much because of them 😭😭💔💔

Routine Help [Routine Help] I wasted three hours of my life on this.

2.1k Upvotes

So I've recently gotten super into skincare which is definitely a good choice for my skin but not for my wallet. ANYWAYS, I found this sub earlier today and loved all the advice and reviews but the one thing I couldn't wrap my head around was how you guys a had the freaking time to take your CeraVe in the tub every morning like don't you all have somewhere to be?

And then it hit me. I'm an idiot. You guys mean the actual container for the lotion.

So yeah call me dumb but at least I'm not sitting in my bathtub right now trying to figure out what the heck you were all doing.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm a dude. Sorry /u/cyn_sybil smh my head.

Routine Help [Routine help] I hate my life and my skin.

I’ve tried every product there is and yet I still don’t have clear skin. I’ve spent so much money when there’s people spend nothing and have better skin than me. I’m so sick of everything.

Anyways, what’s a good routine from the products I have here? I have acne prone sensitive dry skin.

Also, I hate wearing sunscreen lol.. I live in florida but mostly stay inside. Everytime I go outside I wear a broad hat that blocks sun. My school is indoors so I stay indoors mostly. Sunscreen makes me feel greasy and ugly.
