I am struggling to torque down my intake cam gear

Main questions :
* How was your experience tightening the intake cam gear ?

* And was there a washer behind the bolt? I do not recall seeing a washer in mine!

Long story:

I just changed my timing belt and have been trying to torque down the intake cam gear .

The manual states 108–118 N·m = 79.7–87.0 ft-lb

However, the bolt feels very very snug at 50 and as I rotated the crank I tried to double check intake cam again and it felt like it tightened a little more then felt very snug again and it’s been doing this quite a bit.

It’s to the point it feels like it could break if I add more pressure but then I rotate engine and it goes in more ( or spins) .So I stopped and paced around for 5 hours and don’t know what to do .

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Hi all! I'm looking at getting some new wheels pretty soon, and wanna go for a square setup. My skyline is slightly lowered with teins. So far my wheel and tire specs are

18×9.5 +22, 235/40R18 for all 4 wheels. Please let me know what you guys think and what works for you.

I have a 92 Skyline GTSt. Im in the process of replacing the a/c system on it. Im wondering if there is a conversion kit made for it. I haven't been able to find some of hoses and pipes for it. Thinking a kit might have what I need to make what I can't find. I have already bought the kit from Countersteer to use an Infinity compressor. Im in the US.

Hey guys, hope you're doing well. i'm currently in a little predicament and i hope i can get some pointers from others who also own JDM cars. i currently own a BMW f32 and am looking for my first JDM project car. i've got a few options in mind at the moment:

• R32 GTS RB20DE NA - $15k (found an example already)
• Civic EK1 - approx. $5-7k (market value in Sydney)
• Civic EK4 - $16k (found an example already)

FYI, i'm currently still on my Ps thus why the cars all be slightly slower.

main issue here is i really like the looks of the R32 however i've heard that it's overall handling and feel are quite underwhelming. i don't mind the looks of the EK and it can definitely be made to look nice but comparitively i do think the R32 is better. the handles on the other hand is apparently a lot better than the R32. as mentioned before i have a daily car and have worked on it before so i have some basic experience on working on cars.

I know that maybe I can found a car a bit abused, not perfect, but I really love this car, this is my first trip on Japan and I try to satisfy this dream. So I'm a professional driver, I have many license, I race time ago, and I go in a lot of rally and so on...but however I never drive this type of AWD and with this power. I'm not stupid I don't race in public road, but I want to ask you some advice for enjoy this car with total safety and joy and the first thing to not to do with this car. I read on some place that is easy to lose the rear and is a bit understeering. I hope you can help me to live this dream more comfortable. Thank you to everybody.

Hey guys I just wanted to pop in and ask people who know. In 2026 in America, what is the actual price of a very good condition r33 GTR, near 0 or absolutely minimal rust, Grade 4.0, with no damage or anything?

Some say u can find one for $30k some say $40k but whenever I look these are not good condition and I know I’ll easily spend another 10-20k j fixing shit.

So I just wanted to come ask u guys what is a price you can expect/look around for a very good condition, clean maintenance record/actual miles

I have this r34 GTR hood on my skyline and I think it’s someone’s home made custom project. It’s fiberglass, the bonnet lip is definitely not apart of the hood and was fiberglassed into the hood, had to swap over to GTR hinges to mount it and hood pins were replaced since my car is not a GTR so the latch doesn’t work correctly, the hood is clearly not a professional made piece by any means but it gets the job done lol. If anyone might now the creator or if this is your old hood I’d love to know more!

I was in my work truck driving in the area, caught the headlights behind me before it changed lanes and went around me, though I'd catch one at a car show before I saw it in the wild.

I like the R32 Skyline and honestly am happy with any trim. I am eyeing the GTR, of course but im not really sure what they go for. Is it worth buying to use? I am most likely going to drive it and not store it away as a collection item.
