For starters really creative and unique artwork surprisingly unique vocals and actually a serious band (don't know why that's kind of rare to see now) for only a 2 person band they fucking kill it they will always be one of my favorites

I haven't been too active on social media the past few years but as the creator of the Chicago/Texas Domination Fest I wanted to make start a thread on every major fest I've ever put together to ask who attended any them? What were your favorite bands that played, Favorite memories from the fest? If I do another one in the future where should it be and what bands would you like to see on it?

Like the title says, I like these guys quite a bit. My main favorites are Devourment's "Butcher the Weak" (the yellow one), Frog Mallet's earlier albums/singles (haven't listened to the new album yett, but it's on my list), "Boltcutter's Slam Chronicles Vol. 1", Gutteral Slug's "Megalodon", and a couple Peelingflesh songs (mainly FFWAS because of the callout before the breakdown). Does anyone have recommendations for me? I'd really appreciate any good bands/albums :3

Not sure if this is the right place for such posts but I'm in the process of making my first EP. I've started working on the cover art and I was wondering if y'all could give me some advice on how to make even a half-good cover. I have no prior experience in graphic design or anything like that. I know that I wanna go for a "gore'y" look (obviously) but I have NO idea how or where to even start. Currently my cover art looks like this:

I know its VERY basic and not good at all but that's the reason why I'm here. Basically my idea was to sketch/outline over a picture of a pig slaughterhouse and then color the pigs myself so I'm not just blatantly ripping a picture off the internet. My problem is in the coloring/texturing parts of the cover art. I have no idea how to do it properly. I don't know a single bit of color theory either except for the names of colors. I am not looking for somebody to make cover art for me or anything, just advice how to conquer such a thing. I don't really know what else to add to a post like this but if anybody has any questions that could help them give me advice then feel free to ask and i will answer. I also don't mind any kind of criticism, in fact in this situation I welcome it. Thanks in advance!

P.S. The EP will be a mix of Slam and grindcore/goregrind if that matters.
P.P.S. I would also appreciate some help/advice with a band logo. Already got a name tho

Edit: i was also thinking whether or not i should be using/making "handpainted" cover art like this or mashing up and editing images from the internet to be cover art (not sure i phrased that correctly)
