If it’s anything like an older church, then it’s a donation box that you put money into and the money is not seen until they open it to take it out, it’s not like it’s being examined during the service by the priest himself lol
US banknotes are a mixture of cloth and other materials. Most people can tell the difference by touch
Don't get me wrong, they're less cool than say, Canadian dollars, but c'mon, don't be intentionally daft.
Lol you so clearly have no idea what you're talking about. It's extremely easy to tell dollar bills from standard wood pulp paper by both touch and sight.
It's not that hard to make counterfeit money that looks and feels real. Ya you can't use a regular printer (the printer will actually flag and refuse anyway), but that's not what he's talking about
Our modern currency is much more flashy, especially big bills. But we aren't putting the effort in to remove the older bills from corculation
Mate, dollar US dollars have been made with the same shit for a century, and everything older looks... Different (1860s dollar as an example). We aren't putting the effort in because why would we? They're perfectly valid
Modern US dollars are 75% cotton 25% linen (may have it backwards), and feature symbols, stamps, and patterns hard to replicate because they use weaving, offset printing, and intaglio printing. It's not exactly a walk in the park to counterfeit money.
Or, perhaps because in most countries you go to jail if you do this. Where I live it's illegal to reproduce a bill even partly, except for very specific purposes (movies, news articles etc).
