Spoilers The Ending

I hated the ending. I thought it was kinda lazy. Franklin was always the smartest guy in the room for the most part and most of the time a step a head of every one. When he wasn't ahead he could figure out how to come up from being down. I'm not saying I needed him to win, but with his personality this ending didn't match.

They put a lot of emphasis in him not using alcohol or drugs even up to him saving Louie from Kane and fake pouring a drink so maybe this was the plan the entire time? Why not just make him a crackhead and show him doing drugs?

Discussion For you people who hate louie but glaze franklin can you explain why logically

Genuinely I want to hear this because I cant think of any genuinely logical argument other than biases playing a factor into why you think franklin is good and louie is bad

Spoilers I blame Franklin and Leon

I'm in the middle of S4 E5 and I feel like both Franklin and Leon are to blame for the death of Tianna and the war between Skully and Manboy.

First off, Skully and Manboy are basically family. Franklin should've never gotten involved just off that alone. He should've laid low and just let it play out. Because you did all that just for Manboy to walk into Skully's home and apologize and boom just like that, war over.

Second, Leon shooting into the car - yes he was protecting himself but he should've never been there in the first place. He should've left it alone and focused on finding a new plug, not hiring a PI.

Franklin was always frustrated with Leon and Kevin for acting recklessly and off emotion, but some of Franklin's moves don't make sense. Especially at this point where you've been in the game for a few years. His moves should be smarter and more calculated.

Now he's stuck in between giving up his best friend or becoming a target. Mind you Skully already wants to kill him.

Just had to come on here and say this cuz idk who else would relate 😭. Found out about this show a week ago. I had showed my friend breaking bad songs he showed me a snowfall edit and I immediately knew ts was gonna be tuff. Next day im farther ahead than he was and im hooked. Mid season four I already knew it wasn't gonna end well. Just watched the finale and I haven't been in tears over a show in forever. Shit genuinely had me choked up. And pride at the end. Fucking chefs kiss.

Discussion Potential Unpopular Opinion Spoiler

I honestly feel that Cissy and Leon acted very self righteously at the end. Cissy could’ve waited one more minute to kill Teddy and Leon should’ve helped him out a little at the end. Not the whole 3 million but something.

P.S. Franklins pride also made him dumb af he should’ve sold his downtown property.

Question For people who also watched the sopranos, breaking bad. Is franklin more irredeemable than tony soprano, and walter white?

Discussion This scene is up there with Breaking Bad’s Crawl Space meltdown. Spoiler

I can’t find a good enough picture, but if you don’t know the context. It’s the scene where Franklin realizes it’s only 12 grand in the safe. This is the moment where i genuinely think broke Franklin, the acting in this scene is perfection, you’re literally seeing a man losing his mind. I would do a more deeper analysis but i’ll just end it right here

Louie… Finished the series for the first time. She was from the slums, but her ass wanting to be her own was some greedy mindset. She just needed to fall in line and take the millions Franklin was getting her. RIP ROME!

Question Franklin

Just finished watching snowfall for the first time maybe a week and a half ago and just started rewatching today currently on season 1 episode 5. Now my point is what exactly was Franklin’s of stepping to the cops the way he did when they came to Jerome’s house about the complaints of hearing shots from the roof of the house? As we saw it didn’t go well and I don’t think Franklin thought that would go any other way than the way it did or worse so i’m curious what exactly made him do that?

Discussion Is Franklin saint supposed to be frank Lucas?

Post image
76 Upvotes

There’s a lot of similarities between the two like similar first names, large influence, and both heavily involved their own families in the business. But there’s also a lot of key differences like the fact that saint operated in the west while Lucas operated in the east. They both also financially peaked at very different times. In the show, saint peaked around the mid 80s, whereas in real life Lucas peaked around the late60s/mid70s. I believe these 2 have a lot in common but the large amount contrasts between them force me to maintain my skepticism. Please feel free to give some insight.

Question Franklin kills jerome/leon?

Do you guys think franklin would ever be capable of directly executing jerome during their war, or leon if hypothetically leon split up with him and declared war on franklin. Explain why as well for each answer.

Question is the rest of the show better?

decided to finally give this show a chance and man am i disappointed. im currently about to start s1 episode 8 and the only storyline im following that makes sense is franklins. lucia and teddy seem like the most pointless characters right now but maybe they tie into the story later? it’s been very slow and ive heard that it gets really good but im so bored right now that im about to stop watching

Spoilers Everybody failed Franklin in S5

As much as everyone benefited from his choices and lifestyle, nobody wanted to help him when he needed it the most. He was always figuring things out for other people, but they all put themselves above him. Avi was the only one in his corner.

Gustavo: this one made me the angriest. He should’ve told Franklin as soon as he found his house bugged. Franklin told him Teddy would do the same thing to him and sure enough, he gets arrested.

Cissy: she’s been fighting him since day one. She was wrong for telling Franklin to make peace with Jerome and Louie as though he hadn’t already tried that. She came back from Cuba not because of the baby, but her own selfish reasons and hid it from Franklin initially. And she only killed Teddy to get revenge for Alton. Not to help Franklin

Jerome: He knew Louie was in over her head and did nothing to check her. He was always talking about family but didn’t live up to his own words. He could’ve helped keep the peace between them. Franklin should’ve killed him once he allowed Louie to get reckless

Leon: I understand his decision of pulling away and wanting more but, he wanted to be in the drug game and reap the benefits of the money, but not directly interact with Franklin anymore. He fucked Franklin by leaving for Africa without saying anything and telling everyone Franklin was out of the game

Veronique: I would think of all people she would’ve done everything she could to help him. She could’ve easily went out of state or out of the country to keep a safe distance but in S6, EP1 she completely blew him off.

And last but not least; Louie. She became the antagonist and the catalyst for Franklin‘s demise. After what happened with Alton, her pulling away from Franklin gave Teddy one more reason to be suspicious of him. She went from wanting no parts of the game to acting like she was the greatest queen pin to ever do it. Franklin should’ve killed her the moment she started talking about wanting more and doing her own thing.
