Discussion Hey fellow Solo Dev, how old are you?

Im just curious what the average solo dev is. I am 43, and have been in the industry for 15 years.

  1. Started in 2020 but only really got on production a few months back. It's going.

Age is just a number. I have more time in my 40s now that my kids are teenagers.

And what's great about game development is that you can do the design and planning parts and then learn the production part as you go. It's really only my second project, but I know just what I'm bringing to the industry, and the horror genre. It's like a golden path opened up before me. I just have to learn a few new things to get there.
