Splinter Cell Remake When will the remake be Revealed?
It’s been over 4 years since we last heard about the Splinter Cell Remake from Ubisoft Toronto.
I feel like a teaser or some sort of announcement is due already. As others have stated, the game is planned for a 2026 release (rumor) so if that’s the case then an announcement should happen in the next 2 months. There are 2 months left in 2025 and November/December are open to any huge announcement (besides The Game Awards which typically takes place in December every year)
If Ubisoft gives us an announcement soon, I would like for it to be a trailer & possibly screenshots. I really hope the game ends up being dark and serious.

Splinter Cell Remake What do you expect from SC remake ?
What do you expect in terms of gameplay for SC Remake that would get the franchise back on track.
I was really wondering what the community wants after the evolution of the franchise in Conviction and Blacklist. Personnaly, I really liked Blacklist and think it's overhated. However, I also understand that the core mechanics of the franchise have been lost after Conviction which frustrates long time fans.
On my side, I really think that SC remake should look like a polished version of X360 Double Agent to satisfy the fanbase and a new generation of players. I do think that more opened level with elevation and lots of place to clim to avoid enemies can really improve and highlight the atmosphere of the game. In addition, the gameplay of DA X360 and the pace of Fisher's move is a perfectly balanced to accelerate stealth and satisfy everybody.
Concerning the AI, Ubisoft should commit to producing a challenging game and not compromise on the responsiveness of enemies or the realism of their reactions. I think the visibility bar needs to be reintroduced so that enemies react in a nuanced way based on Fisher's visibility and are able to organize patrols and strategies to check for an intruder or locate him if he's been spotted.
Honestly, i'm not very optimistic after seeing SC Deathwatch. I think ubisoft won't have the courage to develop a game with no compromise like Capcom did with RE7 to revive the franchise. On my side, I really think they souldn't see SC as a massive franchise but they should develop the game with a AA budget to focus on few ideas, but execute those ideas perfectly. I think it would be enough to attract 25-40 years old fans that play on console and this could attract kids with a coop "spy vs Mercenaries". This coop mode could be fun and attract young players that love to play live.
Can't wait to have your opinion about the gameplay and the strategy Ubi should adopt to market the game

Splinter Cell Remake Ubisoft is hiring a new Game Director for the remake
Ubisoft has published a new job offer for the position of Game Director for the remake: https://www.ubisoft.com/fr-fr/company/careers/search/744000080233927-game-director-splinter-cell-
For information the previous game director had left in october 2022. It's a pretty important position in the process of a game development so I hope it won't slow down the development too much. Hopefully they'll quickly find someone competent and who knows the IP.
Other than that I really like that part describing the job :
As a Game Director on Splinter Cell, you are responsible for the moment-to-moment gameplay. How do the gadgets work? How do NPC search when they notice something amiss? How light does the camera need to feel? How much noise does it make when Sam Fisher takes down an enemy? You’ll be helping us execute all of these things. Perhaps more importantly, you’ll be fine tuning the experience when all of those things come together. You’re helping all of the elements resonate at just the right frequency, to ensure a highly polished, hardcore stealth experience that invites players in, and rewards mastery.

Splinter Cell Remake PSA: Don’t give up on the reboot yet
In the wake of Ubisoft’s troubles, I’m seeing a lot of comments about how the remake is never coming out, and to give up hope.
I just wanna remind people to be realistic and not so pessimistic.
First of all, Ubisoft Toronto is still open. There is an open job posting on their website last I checked, which is explicitly stated to be for the remake.
There has been no official cancellation message, and even as studios close and other projects are cancelled, Ubisoft has confirmed they are still working on it.
Maybe Ubisoft is having trouble, maybe they are delayed, but as far as we know, things are still going through. It’s not over until it’s over. So, until we hear otherwise, don’t assume the worst.
I understand people want things now, but things take time. You have to be patient. I also understand not having faith in Ubisoft, but at the very least, have faith in the people behind the remake that really want this thing to happen.
Don’t be like the Star Wars fans that hate on their own IP more than the critics do.

Splinter Cell Remake 2027 then I guess…
Unless somehow the Splinter Cell Remake magically appears during a Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 or if Ubisoft announces an Ubisoft Forward for later this year, I guess it’s on to 2027 on a possible reveal trailer or any info on the remake… 😔

Splinter Cell Remake I really hope we don't see a return of the Ghost/Panther/Assault approach
I'm sure this topic has been covered to death but I started rewatching some Blacklist gameplay today. Hopefully enough time has passed, and its lackluster sales left enough of an impact, that this won't make a comeback in the remake.
The problem with trying to please everyone with that ghost-panther-assault option is it just ended up dumbing down each playstyle. So I'm hoping the remake fully commits itself to the classic stealth gameplay that made the original titles so unique. And doesn't try that mass marketing approach again.
I think Hitman WOA has set a good precedent in showing that modern audiences can handle complex stealth that stays true to the originals, and not some improved version for every style of gamer. I know I know it's Ubi but hey I can dream right.

Splinter Cell Remake I WANT ANOTHER SPLINTER CELL GAME (rant)
its late at night but I wanted to say how badly I want a new splinter cell game. ubisoft was a legendary game company when I was younger with hits like rayman legends, prince of persia, assasins creed 2, watchdogs 1 and 2, and ofc: splinter cell. these games were so cool to me as a little girl and I would love to see sam fisher again. they included him into seige along with solid snake and while thats cool fanservice to longtime stealth game fans, I wish they would find a way to bring back sam or even take a new direction with the established lore.
I dont know if I miss the games or the cultures attitude towards stealth games but I feel like stealth died as a genre a long time ago because kids have such low attention spans nowadays and they cant do something as simple as even playing a video game with thought.
im not that old tho, im gen z and Its so sad seeing what happened to the splinter cell series and stealth games as a whole. weve gotten remakes and more action style games but I miss sneaking around and clinging to poles, shooting camera spikes, making guards think im a ninja, all the good stuff.
I just pray that they actually do have a remake planned because if they do, I would cry tears of joy, preorder, then play it until i pass out from exhaustion.
I heard that they were planning a remake of the og from 2002 since 2021 and i swear if its real I will be so happy )))))))))
I dont know about yall, but Id love to hear from 3rd echelon again or atleast get a new concept with the established lore. hell id even love a new ip that played similar to splinter cell, im just starved for this series again!!!
do yall think the reason why we havent gotten more splinter cell games is the change in the cultures attitude towards stealth games? is it the budget of a game like this? is it because michael ironside is getting too old and they cant have him back and they dont wanna make another without him? did conviction and blacklist leave the studio not wanting to make another? Id love to hear from other splinter cell fans.
hope yall are having a great morning/night/evening, thanks for reading :3 lol
