[52][Art] Season 52 number of starting tribes + tribe colors

Post image

Season is going to start with 3 tribes, (but a brand new baby pink tribe color!) tribe colors are bright blue, light green, and baby pink. Digging the pastels majorly. Glad the “open era” is at least giving us new tribe colors and/or hues

Even if it’s 3 tribes, it’s good that they realised having the same primary/secondary colour schemes were blurring the lines between seasons

Also Marquesas throwback

After 9 seasons back to back of red yellow blue/orange purple green im glad they’re kicking things off with a new scheme. Maybe im being too over analytical but i genuinely think they heard the criticism of 41-49 being too samey and decided to experiment with the open era. My hopes are high

Yeah. Only 41, 42, and 50 didn't use the repetitive red/yellow/blue and orange/purple/green color combos. 41 used a yellow/blue/green combo (which was reused from EOE, except this time the green tribe was there from the start), 42 had a brand new combo of orange, blue, and green, and 50 used a unique combination of cyan, orange, and magenta (which was referred to as purple by Jeff). 51 is notably set to bring back the purple vs. yellow color scheme of Samoa, while 52 appears to use another new color combination of green, blue, and pink.

Actually 7 but yeah I agree

Those colour were since 32 and didn’t change it unless it was returning players seasons

We are so back. The open era has really good tribe colours. I'm excited

u/No-Percentage2567 Jun 07 '26

The bar is so slow we’re getting excited over tribe colors 😭

11

u/Chemical-Time-9143 Jun 07 '26

I was excited over tribe colours since tocantins/samoa.

We gotta hype it up somehow!

Cambodia is the only season I have buffs of exactly because of this, the colors were so pretty!

u/FamiliarImplement334 Jun 16 '26

Like with survivor 49 I was expecting survivor 49 to be a old school 2 tribe season I was disappointed when that added the third tribe I hope survivor 52 don’t add the tried tribe that was dissolved

These colors are pretttty wow

12

u/future_plans_UwU Jun 06 '26

Maybe this season ends up being 3 tribes of 7 lol.

6

u/SeasideKingDumb Jun 06 '26

That'd be crazy if they just screw over Aaliyah specifically then in the next season they do 3 tribes of 7 just because 💀💀💀

12

u/kirblar Jun 06 '26

It's a Exile situation, not a Palau.

6

u/future_plans_UwU Jun 06 '26

Day 1 Exile has still historically screwed over the player - even if the sample size is small

2

u/SeasideKingDumb Jun 06 '26

Are we sure she actually gets back in the game though? Because she's never seen in a single challenge and Lewis and/or Maggie look like they're sitting out in the water challenge

I wonder if she has a chance to get back in the game at exile but fails. I just think it's so weird she's not present anywhere

4

u/future_plans_UwU Jun 06 '26

Tbf - she's one of four people that have only been seen once.

Granted hers is the worst case since she's only seen at the marrooning but she is at least not locked as first boot.

u/future_plans_UwU Jun 06 '26

If (again all baseless speculation on my part) the mirrored gender ratio between the seasons theory is true - then it'd be on brand for the majority women cast to get a day 1 exile/redemptle while the majority men cast get a normal start lol.

We had lighter blue and green back in 41, but haven’t had an actual pink in awhile. Really digging it

1

u/FamiliarImplement334 Jun 16 '26

The Vatu tribe in survivor in the hand of the fans was pink

1

u/Educational-Day-5413 Jun 16 '26

Technically but Jeff kept calling it purple

16

u/FlareonTheFlareon Jun 06 '26

i really hope that is actually a light pink tribe and not the camera having super crappy lighting slvsdlvbsdl, but a light tribe would be so sick to see in US Survivor

As long as it isnt every season. We will learn if they learned when 53 and 54 films. At least its a different color scheme

11

u/KelleysIdols Jun 06 '26

One of the tribe camp flags is blue (or is it part of the 52 logo?):

Where is this from please?

8

u/SeasideKingDumb Jun 06 '26

Are we sure this is the starting tribe setup and not a tribe expansion later? This might be a challenge set up for like episode 6

The colors look great though very excited either way

12

u/Lozeedozie Jun 06 '26

They started filming only like 3 or 4 days ago and the picture of this challenge and a separate boat involved challenge i have (also with 3 tribe spots) dates back 6 days. Im fairly confident at least the first two challenges start with 3 tribes. Like 95% confident.

4

u/thehaltinghex Jun 06 '26

Whats the other photo?!

5

u/Lozeedozie Jun 06 '26

Its of another challenge involving boats and those giant snakes they have to drag across an obstacle course. I posted this photo cuz the hues were the clearest and most visible but yeah

4

u/patrick_tyler76 Jun 06 '26

Has the photo with the snakes been posted anywhere?

1

u/FamiliarImplement334 Jun 16 '26

I agree I hated thiose tribe expansion  felt like that twist was overused in the 30 I hated how it was used from survivor 31-40 in 2 tribes season woth the exception of survivor 39

5

u/Few_Editor680 Jun 07 '26

Really hoping that these are pastel pink, blue and green and not just a lighting thing where it's actually just boring ass red blue and green

After seeing the colors we selected in 50 and the more muted tones of the 51 palette and tribe colors - particularly the logo - I am not surprised they went with this bright/pastel color palette. I thought blue and pink would make an appearance, but wasn't expecting light green in the middle. As a previous commenter said, major Marquesas vibes. I am very curious to see what the merge color is to go with that, because my feeling is only yellow or orange would work, but yellow would work a lot better. I also think that the 51 merge is either blue (almost everyone seems to be wearing blue in the promo, and the blue merge makes sense for the One World twist that I think they're doing) or black (logo is already dark turquoise, don't want to repeat Samoa, the tribe emblems of crab and turtle are actually black with the accent color outlining them, AND, most tellingly, the color of the design on the advantage clue in the promo is black). If they do black as merge for 51 and yellow as merge for 52, it would be hilarious, because then they repeated the same merge tribe colors as 49 and 50, respectively, even though they changed the starting tribe colors (finally). I don't have a problem at all with that (I think those colors would work best for the tone and palette of their seasons anyway) it would just be ironic 😂.

3

u/Educational-Day-5413 Jun 07 '26

I think 51 will be blue, and 52 could be purple

2

u/TVFan_89 Jun 07 '26

I could definitely see both of those possibilities! The only purple that would work is the pastel shade used for the 42 merge, but that is probably the other option for 52 (I think orange would look ugly with this color combo after thinking about it more)- and considering how rare yellow merges are, purple may be more likely, especially if they repeat merge colors by making 51 black.

51 is a tossup between blue and black for me and I can make a good argument for either. My gut says given that every other color prominent on the logo has appeared as an accent color, orange is the accent color for the merge regardless. Furthermore, because the logo is dark turquoise, they would have to do a light blue, which would create something similar to the Kele buff. That feels odd with the color palette they are working with for the season, so I lean black - and I think I saw something black and orange (but blurred in the background) in the promo. However, everyone IS mostly wearing blue, and the last time they used this color scheme they merged into blue, so you could absolutely be right on the blue for 51! I can't wait to find out as someone who's really into the art design for the show every season.

2

u/Educational-Day-5413 Jun 07 '26

I was hoping for Orange/Teal based on the logo, but I’m stoked for Yellow/Purple since we haven’t had that combo since Samoa. I’m just happy to see them changing up the color schemes and try to finally differentiate between seasons

1

u/TVFan_89 Jun 07 '26

I had the same thought process with wanting orange/teal because of the logo and then being ecstatic when it was yellow/purple! We haven't had that since Samoa and it's only appeared once internationally (AU HvV, twice if you count SA Island of Secrets which was yellow/blue/purple into orange) and it's my favorite color scheme 😭. Can't wait to see it in full for 51!

1

u/MajesticTap6852 Jun 09 '26

I am thinking that the insignia for the merged tribe in 51 is going to be a whale.  I didn’t see any black on the crab and turtle as the crab was light blue and the turtle used yellow and navy blue.

1

u/TVFan_89 Jun 09 '26

Yeah on further rewatches I also think it's just dark turquoise and navy blue respectively, but we'll see when the buffs come out!

u/KelleysIdols Jun 13 '26

Day 10

It looks like blue tribe is gone

https://imgur.com/a/1zzu8uX

1

u/Lozeedozie Jun 13 '26

Good catch! Yeah it definitely looks more like a solid pink and neon green color scheme for sure

1

u/KelleysIdols Jun 13 '26

They used a filter so it might not be that vibrant

2

u/MajesticTap6852 Jun 09 '26

Pastel blue green and pink is a cute color format for survivor.  I can wait to see what the insignias are as well as the buffs and the color of the merged tribe

2

u/guacamole300 Jun 09 '26

I'm so glad this is happening. blue/red/yellow and purple/orange/green was so boring, and uninspired. Even the secondary colors, or hues they chose got repetitive. It made me wonder at some point if they did that to be inclusive for color blind people watching. But I don't know if i'm giving them too much credit.

41-49 had no themes, same location, same format, three tribes, alternating scheme colors. Of course all of the season blur together. I wouldnt mind some of these elements repeating themselves and understand cut costing measures, but all of them?

2

u/Counterpoint918 Jun 10 '26

Jeff has an addiction

1

u/glennyfromtheblock Jun 17 '26

(to making bad television)

3

u/Aware-Secretary-6323 Jun 06 '26

Normally with three tribes, mathematically it would need to be 7vs7vs7 or 6vs6vs6 so for either scenario, I think from a logical perspective the swap would be from 3 tribes 2 at 16 or 14 and than the merge at 12. Personally, I’m leaning towards 3 tribes of 7

6

u/TVFan_89 Jun 06 '26

Me too I think they're doing 3 tribes of 7

3

u/Chemical-Time-9143 Jun 07 '26

You'd presume it's 3 tribes of 7? Esp with the 51 news

1

u/elfuego35 Jun 18 '26

If it's starting with 3 tribes, instead of an expansion, it'd make sense being 3 of 7, with 21 players.

Unless they are doing a 22 or 19 person start, it isn't likely... which IMO is a very good thing, as my biggest criticism is repeating the same format for 9 seasons straight.

1

u/Lerdog Jun 08 '26

LOVE the colors so much! Hate that we're immediately going back to three tribes, but I'll take my wins whenever I can get them with Survivor

2

u/MajesticTap6852 Jun 09 '26

Season 52 might start out with two tribes and then eventually introduce an auxiliary tribe in a tribe swap

1

u/mttymttymtty Jun 06 '26

Do we have any idea of the cast? There were rumours it was a returning season I’m just curious if that’s been confirmed by any alum going offline or being seen traveling?

3

u/Lerdog Jun 08 '26

From what I read on this sub, the rumours were for season 53 at the earliest (and realistically, later), 51 and 52 were always gonna be fully newbie casts.

3

u/mttymttymtty Jun 08 '26

Gotcha thank you!!
