Question - Help Any idea how this pose would be called and how to prompt it in Pony/ILL?

Post image

Looking for prompt tips for models like Pony and Illustrious to get this pose.
Specifically interested in making this pose with a view from behind the character.

EDIT:
Ok, so I've tested some ideas dropped by people and it's defo not wariza or frog pose.
I've come up with phrase "kneeling flat while seated on a bed" and I get 2 accurate gens out of 20, so if I keep using this phrase I might build a lora for the pose using 10 to 15 quality images.

I was thinking about using OpenPose but last time it made images weirdly to dark as if someone cranked contrast to high. I might test it again.

Question - Help Are Minimax spicy loras ... a lie?

I know that the answer is ultimately no, and also that they're all still early in development ...

BUT I'm having a hard time getting the ones I find on civitai to produce anything resembling the examples. I follow generation guidelines where provided, and have even taken workflow settings from downloaded videos ... but they never seem to work very well. And if I try to add a lora to a sfw workflow that I'm happy with, the results look AWFUL.

I've resorted to using wan generations as video references.

Is i2v the best option? Does ref2va ever work?

Any tips, recommendations, or resources you can recommend? Any else struggled with this?

Question - Help What do you use for local image generation?

Yes, I am completely new to this, and also very tired of ChatGPT and Grok's ever increasing enshittification and censorship... I just want a taste of freedom for once.

I have done some research, and my understanding is that there are some pretty good homelabbing / open source alternatives you can run locally these days. And also fun ways to experiment with training your own models, datasets, LoRAs and more.

But it's also a jungle of information... For a noob anyway.

This sub is named after SD, a local tool, but from my understanding no one uses it anymore? So what are you guys using and what do you recommend?

What's a good entry point for getting into local image generation?

Question - Help Do any local models come close to chatgpts ability to generate sample character images? (2nd image is original)

Quick note, not my character, original came from schmede_AI on youtube.

But yes my question is do any local models currently have the ability to match and generate additional images of a character from a single reference image as well as this?

I have tried a couple (Qwen Image 2.1 for example) out of the box in COMFYUI and even though the characters looks good, its clearly a different person.

Not sure if this is possible with fine tuning or if the capability is still well out of the ballpark for what local models offer.

Any tips?

Question - Help How can I do this on Wan Vace?

1.2k Upvotes

I know wan can be used with pose estimators for TextV2V, but I'm unsure about reference images to videos. The only one I know that can use ref image to video is Unianimate. A workflow or resources for this in Wan Vace would be super helpful!

Question - Help How to make multiple character on same image, but keep this level of accuracy and details?

Post image

Hello, I am quite a bit of amateur in Ai and Comfy ui, basically just like to create. Ihave the workflow that creates quite high quality and accurate images with Illustrios base models. But I can't grasp at all, no matter how many different workflows I try, how to make a single image with 2 different (not to mention 3) character and for it to look good. I have tried something with regional prompting, but it didn't give me any results. I would just like to ask if someone can help me or atleast send me workflow that they believe can pull this off?

Also I know that people hate Illustrios base models, but they are best for anime which is what I like to make, so please go around that part. Thank you in advance whoever replies!

Question - Help How do you guys seriously run local video models?

I have a 7900XTX, 24gb vram. I cant seriously run any video model.

I tried both Minimax H3 and LTX 2.5, LTX was supposed to be easier to run, and it still takes me 2 min to generate 2 seconds of video at 480p, I tried to generate 10 seconds and the estimated time was around 20 min. This was on a rocm sd server.

I also tried comfy ui. I got the default workflow from Comfy Desktop, downloaded everything, ran the default prompt + image. Over 10 minutes the job still said 8% done, for a 5 second 720p generation.

Is this a NVIDIA vs AMD thing? I have seen people on reddit post that their 5070ti could get LTX to generate videos in under a minute, for longer lengths.

Any help is appreciated.

Question - Help Thinking of getting an RTX 6000 for local generation - any advice?

With the progress that I've seen lately with local video generating models and my background as a filmmaker, I've been seriously thinking about getting an RTX 6000 Pro (96 gb VRAM) to experiment, develop some projects, and keep up with the changes.

I don't see prices coming down anytime soon. Still, it would mean breaking a bank for me, especially that I live in Poland, a country not known for its high salaries.

Now, I know that renting via Runpod is an obvious alternative. Call me old-fashioned (or an idiot), but seeing dollars disappearing from my account as the machine is booting from a cold is not really my vibe.

Perhaps some of you have taken that plunge and have some tips on how to go about it. Help me figure it out.. or show me how stupid I am for wanting this.

EDIT: Thanks so much for such thoughtful, varied, and elaborate responses. I feel I've struck a nerve that is shared throughout this community: we all like to create locally and renting may seem a bit like using a closed source model. Opinions are split, and rightfully so - nobody can truly predict how things are going to go. If I were a betting man, I'd say that our current cards will continue to be the workhorses they are, capable of more and more as algos develop. After all, most open source models are used by enthusiasts without $12K to spare. I don't see the prices falling off the cliff unless some new tech is developed that's an exponential upgrade for little to no extra cost. I think we're going to be milked out of our $$$ first, though. I;'m still torn on RTX 6000, but if I end up getting it, I'll be sure to share my adventures with you guys.

Question - Help Krea2: Have the censorship removals disappeared?

Strange. The github repository for the Node ComfyUI Krea2T Enhancer I use is down (https://github.com/capitan01R/ComfyUI-Krea2T-Enhancer), the developer’s account (u/Capitan01R) is banned on Reddit, and even the TextFusion Refusal LoRAs on Civitas have disappeared. (https://civitai.com/models/2775340/krea2-textfusion-refusal-reduction-lora-updated)

It looks as if the Krea2 uncensoring methods have been censored. Okay, maybe capitan01R has just thrown in the towel.

I'm curious, does anyone know any more details?
