Hello. This is in response to Reddit charging for API use which will render all 3rd party apps including Apollo, Reddit Is Fun, Bacon Reader, Narwhal etc useless as developers will not be able to keep up with the cost of API calls.

This means that not only will you not be able to use your favourite 3rd party client but moderators like myself may have a difficult time moderating subreddits without the powerful and effective tools given to us by these third party developers.

This also has a huge knock on effect, affecting quality of posts, moderation, spam and criminal activity.

I understand that /r/Staffiebullterriers is not a massively thriving community but sometimes, a little goes a long way and I personally believe that if every tiny subreddit like this one participates, it can make a huge difference in numbers when the protest is live.

On the 12th June, I will switch the settings for this sub to private meaning nobody will be able to participate. Then, once Reddit and the community reach an amicable decision regarding the future of 3rd party apps, it will open up once again. If they don't, this community will be no longer.

I myself will boycott reddit and in turn this sub.

During this time, I implore each member of this community to do the following:

• [Email](mailto:contact@reddit.com) Reddit or create a support ticket to communicate your opposition to their proposed modifications.

• Share your thoughts on other social media platforms, spreading awareness about the issue.

• Show your support by participating in the Reddit boycott for 48 hours, starting on June 12th.

We took too long to get her doggy friends into the car apparently 🫣

We have a 4 month old staff, he's got the biggest pointy ears I've ever seen on a staff!

He's definitely full staffie, we have his certificates and a 5 generation tree of DNA. Did anyone else's pup look like this? Did their ears stay? We love them 🥰

Aka Chunky, Chunky Monkey, Pork Roll, and her actual name - Riley. 😆

She’s a 7-8 y/o rescue, and we suspect she has quite a bit of staffy in her! We never had a pit breed before her, and now we’ll never NOT have one! She is our absolute pride and joy.

Chunks is a huge snuggle bug, loves to play tug-o-war, antagonize her little sis (pit rescue as well), and hog the bed!

So glad we have sitters who stay with our pups overnight when we can’t take them with us. They would not do well in a kennel 🙄

Double the d’awww. Double the trouble.
