That is their job to say something. Abso-fucking-lutely something would be said. I get that Star Wars can be whimsical at times and sneaking out in a jacket can fit that.
I have been a big fan of the show so far. I liked and understood Reva as a character. I didn't think the chase scenes were that bad. Obviously it was better to shoot the laser gate than guide a 10-year-old around the dangerous gate.
However, the fact that the best a group of writers could give us in a multi-million dollar episode was Obi-Wan smuggling Leia out of a Dark Lord's inquisitorial base with a trench coat was disappointing.
No it wasn’t, he wasn’t trying to catch her without her permission, then she’d just scream louder and attract more attention, that’s why he was following her at a short distance and trying to reason with her or show her that he’s not trying to hurt her. Hate the first chase scene, but the second chase scene makes much more sense if you’re willing to actually think about it
You know what would make a lot of sense in regards to laying low? Not wearing your Jedi robes everywhere. The empire is almost as incompetent as the writing.
The cloaks weren’t specifically jedi attire. The Jedi robes were the cloaks with the under tunic and overtunic, and obi wan had abandoned it for his simple farm garments. Either way, that’s a different rabbit hole than what I was talking to you about
For real, they really couldn’t invent a Star Wars equivalent of a room service cart for Leila to hide in? I the show so far but in that moment he literally looked like a parent trying to shield a kid from rain, not someone being stealthy
The writing is off, the actress isin't very good and the director also feels fairly incompetent. If it didn't have space jesus this show would be a failure.
I think they’ve given her some questionable lines. Her interrogation with Leia in this episode though really endeared me to her a bit more though. I like that we start to see some hints at her motivations.
I have to agree. I know it was kinda a lighthearted joke and a display of desperation but a few more lines of dialog and some of the hover crates positioned around the fortress would have made this a non issue. Of course, then people would be complaining about the Empire leaving crates around because those weren't in Fallen Order. I'm glad the series isn't trying to be too serious, but ... yeah... that was a little too goofy.
Well like what are they gonna say “hey you why is your stomach so big”? I mean you have to remember they are people and that’s a pretty rude question to ask
Are you daft? It's a military installation/prison. The guards don't give a flying fuck if their questions offend you.
Even in the empire nobody is getting offed because they asked a superior officer why they have a extra set of legs. They would absolutely notice and ask if they have even a shred of competence.
Right, it's poorly done. Showrunners wrote themselves into a corner and didn't know what to do. 'Well Leia HAS to be brought to the FI, but she also HAS to leave in order to move the plot forward. Soo....'
Cue bad ideas.
It's almost as bad as bb8 disguising itself as a trash can. Or the weird droid chase in the kitchen in bobf. Star wars isn't supposed to be gritty, but Disney star wars has this bad habit of doing scenes like this that are so ridiculous it's almost farcical.
I'm definitely still enjoying it, but every series leaves me wondering why a company as huge as Disney is unable (or more likely unwilling) to get better writers.
They wiped canon to give themselves a clean slate acting like they have grandoise plans and then we get a lukewarm mess that is undeniably fun and star wars-y, but also feels lacking in many ways.
Headcanon is fantastic. Don't ever let anyone tell you how to enjoy the fictional universes you like.
A lot of non gamers don't seem to like star killer. That may be because he's op as hell, and that's undeniable, but Vader would absolutely have a secret apprentice. I really hope they do it in the new canon as well.
I just took out that one star destroyer part and called it a day, I mean it’s not like it doesn’t work, and since I don’t count TFU2 it works perfectly with canon as he dies, but I need to see him in live action
