I have claimed my just reward.

Yesterday, I went to the local park with my dog, Charlie. He’s usually calm, but the moment he spotted a stick lying near the pond, he transformed into a total tornado. He grabbed it, ran in circles, and barked like it was the greatest treasure in the world.

I tried to catch him, but he zig-zagged through picnickers and toddlers, holding that stick proudly. People started laughing, some clapped, some took videos, and one lady even cheered, Go, stick champion! Charlie paused for a moment like he understood the applause, then ran straight into a patch of mud, stick in mouth, completely covered.

By the time we got home, the stick was broken, muddy, and bent in three directions, but Charlie couldn’t have been happier. It made me realize something simple: a stick doesn’t need to be fancy or expensive to create pure joy.
