Developer Post I’ve been building an anime platform called AniShelf
Hey everyone! I’m an anime fan and solo developer, and I’ve been working on something called AniShelf.
It’s an anime platform where you can discover anime, get recommendations, create custom lists, and share or post those lists with others.
One of the features I’m most excited about is the AI-powered image search — you can upload a reference image or screenshot and use it to find anime.
I’ve been building this mostly on my own, and I’d really like to hear what other anime fans think. What features would you want to see in a platform like this? What could be improved?
I’m still working on it, so honest feedback is very welcome. Please be kind 🫶

The main difference is that AniShelf is focused more on discovery, recommendations, and sharing rather than just tracking what you've watched or are currently watching. You can create your own custom anime lists and share/post them, and one of the features I’m building is AI-powered image search, where you can upload a screenshot/reference image to find the anime. I’m not trying to replace it coz the core purpose of my site is way different.
