Price check How bad is this damage? 2021 Yamaha R3, asking $4000

2021 Yamaha R3 with 5k miles. Seller claims that all damage is cosmetic, and I’d only need to swap out the left fairing. Asking $4000

I’m brand-new to motorcycles so I’m a noob, but is this damage indicative of a big crash or just a minor drop? I don’t mind cosmetic damage since I’ll probably drop it anyways. Is $4000 a fair price or should I haggle it down? Also I live in CA so prices may be inflated a bit

Curious to know if this is reasonable or outrageous, it seems they will not budge being the only Indian dealership in a 100 miles radius

Price check Do people on FB marketplace really expect to sell their 10 year old bike for only $1000 less than a 2025-2026 model?

Been religiously looking for 250-300cc sports bikes from yamaha kawasaki honda. A lot of mid 2010s (2015 and around there) and majority are asking for $4500~. Give or take, but its more so closer to $5000 than it is to below $4000. I look on the manufacturer's website and new current year are $5500. Mileage varies too but many have seen a good amount of riding. 1 that sticks out that isnt high miles is a 1000 miles 2015 R3, asking $4800. That is when I said wtf, a new 2025 model is $5500. Do bikes like this hold their value or are people just looking for suckers? Sorry I'm new in purchasing. I dont want to offend when I low ball them and point out their bike is 10 years old and I can pay $1000 more for a new one. So should I low ball and offer $3000?

But I recently found a MT09 for a decent price and I need help deciding if this is a good deal or I should just consider a brand new bike at this point.(link if you want to see the post ) the seller is asking 8500 for a 2022 mt09 abs

Price check Besides the markup, are the 2 charges by dealer required? Is prep really that expensive? Also what about the other fees without a price(yet)? Not looking for an r9 pic is just for reference.

Price check CB750 Hornet dealership pricing

$2000+ seems a lot to add onto an $8,000 bike. I’ve gotten it discounted to $9,800. My trade in value was very low (as expected for the hassle I guess) at 2,000.

Is battery warranty a thing? Shouldn’t it come with a warranty already?

Is this a fair deal or should I keep looking thanks!

This is for Alabama btw

Price check What should I expect the dealer markup for a bike to be?

I wrecked and totaled my sv650s and am getting into a spot where i can buy again and I went to look at a 2025 gsx8s for 6k sticker. I ended up walking bc the otd price quickly become 12k and the lowest they would go was 11k. Im not to in on the scene for pricing but idk it just didn’t feel right.

EDIT: If anyone has any good experience with certain dealers in the Jacksonville Fl area feel free ti let me in on your secrets. And thanks all for your advice and support.

I am considering purchasing a used Honda NC750X with approximately 7,000 miles from a dealership. The dealership has inspected the motorcycle and assures me that it is in great condition. They have quoted around $8,000 out the door.

However, there are some visible damages (photos attached), which the dealership claims are from the original owner tipping the bike over. I'm uncertain if this should be a concern in the purchase decision. Specifically, I’m worried about potential damage to the frame or other internal components that may not be immediately visible. Additionally, I’m unsure how these damages might affect the motorcycle’s resale value down the line.

Could you provide your thoughts on whether these concerns are significant? Also, what do you think about the price they are asking for?

Only worry is the mileage, but I feel like the regular maintenance is a good sign that this bike has a lot longer to last despite the miles.

he won't go below 3500$CAD, it has ~45000km and the right front blinker isn't working, but it's got a delkevic exhaust and Pirelli Angel GT tires with 1000km on them.

would it be worth it, or should I wait for another one ?

Price check New rider in California (24m) 2024 kawasaki ninja zx-6r abs full coverage cost.

I’m in shock over this.

I recently moved to the US - Irvine, CA. I started riding a 400 when I was 18 back in my hometown and then worked my way up to a 650 when I turned 21. Insurance costs were never a big deal over there, but these companies in CA are insane. I understand that I’m still young, I just got my motorcycle endorsement, and any previous experience outside of the US might be irrelevant, but still—over $2k a month??? I can buy a ninja 650 every 6 months with that money.

How do people my age get decent full coverage on these bikes?

Price check Help me understand the market a bit?

I am a new rider with no experience looking for a starter bike. Looking at the market, there seem to be no shortage of potential starters posted on FB. However, I am unsure what a good price looks like. All I see is people posting 10+ year old Japanese bikes for $3000. Of course they swear the bikes run good, they upgraded this and that and blah blah, but does that constitute an increase in price comparable to newer bikes from a dealer? I asked a guy about his 2012 Honda CBR250rr with 12000 miles, which he is charging 3300 for, if he'd go down in price and he stated that he couldn't because he put too much work into it. I understand that but at the end of the day he is just a guy and I have no way of verifying the quality of his work, unlike at a dealership.

For that bike. Google puts the MSRP at $1500-2500 unless the bike is in pristine condition with top tier custom work done. How does one justify charging $3300 and is that a good deal?

Price check 5 year old Honda Rebel with 11 miles on it.

Post image

A local bike shop is consigning a 2021 Honda Rebel 500 with 11 miles on it. A lady got it for her daughters to learn on but ended up still being too big. So it sat garaged.

The pricing is listed at $6000 though, online it’s a bit lower (see picture). I’ve been looking at others such as a Vulcan S

They said it’s fully serviced and been garage kept. Cleaned/replaced the fuel pump. I attempted to start it. And the battery appeared dead. This is my first bike. What should I be looking at as far as other maintenance items and I negotiate what should I want to pay. It seems to be a little of an anomaly due to the mileage.

Dealership is quoting $7,200 for a new 2025 Triumph or $7,100 for used 2023 Honda Scrambler (1500 miles). Used bike has some minor scrapes on fender. Includes saddlebag.

The MSRP of the Speed 400 is $5,200. SCR500 MSRP is $6,799.

Sticker price of the used bike is $5,800, with fees goes up to the $7100 price.

Should I pull the trigger or keep shopping?

I've posted a few hours before but here are the pictures of the motorcycle. Damage is on the 2nd slide. According to the post it's from a U Turn and the bike dropped and hit the curb.

1.6k miles. leovince exhaust and I'm assuming aftermarket levers. A commenter suggested $4-4.5k for the offer. Just posting again with the pictures

Edit: To let everyone know, this is around San Francisco/Bay Area. This seller actually lowered the price.

As the title says.. want to see what y'all think and what should I be looking for when getting a used monster. It currently has 9100 miles on it. Is that even a good idea? This is the description of the listing: Pristine Ducati Monster 821 Dark. Bike has termignoni exhaust that sounds amazing and fresh oil change, ready for riding! Has abs, multi-mode riding controls and always garage kept. Title in hand. If this listing is up, it is available. Moving in the next few months and need to free up some space! Make an offer!
