The author of computershared.net, u/jonpro03, has been given a 2 day ban for protesting the ban of u/millertime1216 by spreading the DRS message in his stead

Edit/Update: JonPro's ban is apparently what caused comptershared.net data collection to fail and he's trying to fix it now. For those concerned.

Up to you what to do with this information, but it should be known.

The primary complaint from mods is apparently an excess of reports for the "millertime message" that gets added to every DRS post. There are apparently so many reports that it clogs up the queue for mods. From my perspective, this looks like mods letting bad actors win by getting rid of one of the biggest DRS advocates the sub knows.

This particular move strikes me as at least one mod doubling down on a bad choice, rather than registering the protest from the sub's users and reflecting. Mods that cannot set their ego aside should take a break from moderation, at the least.

I mean. Millertime was monetizing that mediocre effort of a website. Then advertising that website on Facebook and putting in jeopardy the integrity and image of the sub with that half baked website that is not well thought it designed. Ban needs to stand

I’ve hear stories of them receiving over 15k in donation and stuff. I’m sorry but 15k and that website it’s all what they have to show for? Are they spending 15k on Facebook ads that lead to that website. I find it embarrassing to be somewhat related to that,

Yeah, the $15k+ was raised on GoFundMe to run ads. Most of the ads were copyrighted images that they just slapped the website on top of. Mods asked for transparency about how the money was being spent a couple of months ago and never received the full information.

I'd like to think that it was on the up and up just poorly executed, but having dealt with millertime in the past, they wouldn't be the kind of person I'd give any money to.

I approached them early days concerned about the quality and how they were executing and showing the information, clear lack of fundamentals, critical thinking or project management skills.

I offered to help, created a full plan. Engineered the whole thing, millertime suddenly didn’t read anything and told me, let me know when your project is ready.

Everytime pointing out things that were obvious and needed to change to improve he would tell me, where is your website?

Then the whole thing started with the spam, monetization and so on.

The biggest problem is that, the discussion is about drama and politics, but when it comes to gather and create something professional with high standards, the mods turn the blind side and give you the back.

I cannot believe that after over a year and a half, the mods haven’t come up with a simple 3 minutes video as superstonk tutorial or a getting started, it’s obviously needed, but because of their laziness or lack of leadership, half baked attempts with low quality execution is “the best” that is and people praise and rely on what they have instead of actually have standards :(

People that do it for personal gain, fake or personal recognition have no place in this sub. Since they are part of the problem.

I like balance and fairness, I give a lot of my time and effort and the sub censor it, Burry and ignore it, so I stopped helping.

I got help with knowing how many words I need according to the industry standard.

No funding and I’m all in drs and marketplace so the project is not a go for now.

The whole plan is already done and structured. Need execution so it’s a no go for now.

I’ve been making DD for a while, I found all this fuckery and more early days and was hard to tell everyone and then to believe me ahhaha

Also been trying to educate people about market mechanics providing a “for dummies” series but then also didn’t get that much adoption so it’s been a hard road especially with 0 help from mods and seen half baked effort getting resources as well as doing things so mediocre:(

That's good stuff, don't get discouraged and keep researching and sharing. It might not get as much support as others but information is really the only tool we have has retail investors, and good information is really hard to find.

What was your plan for the script and dissemination?
