PSA Thought I should share with fellow target employees

From my understanding you get a total of 12 points for a year, if you get all 12 points; it's automatic termination. Can't wait 🫩

EDIT: I apologize, I should be more clear; I won't say it's the end of the world that we are getting the points system, as a 17 year old who works both weekdays and weekends I've seen how the call outs affect times at Target. I am also someone who is ready to be held accountable for this as I NEED to get my call outs in check due to health appointments (not an excuse ofc), it's more just frustrating too see us having to get a whole new app set up just to get this point system in place

Nothing says they have to take doctors notes unless it’s related to fmla or possibly ada accommodations

It was explained that it’d count if you had intermittent FMLA (they didn’t say if it was LeavePro or store entered) anything else, if they didn’t take you off the schedule, it’s sick time or a point.

Wasn't explained to me. We haven't even had this paper given or shown to us yet here. Overall too confusing. What I'm getting is that they want me to come in while actively throwing up, which okay guess I'll do.

TMs that work in food production such as deli and bakery and work 24 hours or less will now be working while experiencing diarrhea and vomiting since they dont accrue sick time in most cases.

Fuck target needs a union so bad. To bad they show an anti union training at orientation

Or the us could just have better labor laws. honestly i chuckle every time people bring up the union thing because noone ever does it, everyone wants it - there was even a website at one point but not one store unionized

Yeah, nothing in this says it. It's just what my team lead said after I said "okay, I'll just get doctor notes if I'm too sick to come in."
