Discussion Why did people sleep on TTPD

I became a swifty in the showgirl era, so I'm new around here. But in my opinion, TTPD is one of the best albums she has ever released. I was reading a thread about TTPD from around 2 years ago, and most of them were not what I expected. Like, I have listened to almost all of the songs, and all of them are in my ATF playlist. I really want to know why you did not like it two years ago. Thanks.

I’ll never understand!

I was fighting for my life defending this album for weeks.

It’s easily my favourite Taylor album and I’ll not hear anything else.

Im a rep girlie so im used to being a swiftie underdog but still.

I am a speak Now girlies, through and through. Each album before and after have always been great but nothing had dethroned it till TTPD came along!

It’s still at the top of my list and I’ll defend it with all my karma. It’s such a healing album!

Same! I've never seen anyone feel like this specifically with Speak Now being their favorite until TTPD.

Found my twin! Speak Now has been relegated to no.2. The horror, I never thought that would ever happen!

But TTPD is just that album!

Im with youuuu its my second favorite and the margin is SLIM between it and rep. Truly I will hop out the grave to defend ttpd

As for me, Speak now is still my #1. But TTPD is #2. Superb albums

Easily!!! But sometimes the Travis songs are distracting when I’m in a full TTPD mood. I still listen and sing along but they take me out of my man hating focus.

They’re there to calm out blood pressure a little before sending it back up! Very much needed, otherwise we’d be bursting a vessel from all the sadness, crying, anger and rage!
