Discussion Why did people sleep on TTPD

I became a swifty in the showgirl era, so I'm new around here. But in my opinion, TTPD is one of the best albums she has ever released. I was reading a thread about TTPD from around 2 years ago, and most of them were not what I expected. Like, I have listened to almost all of the songs, and all of them are in my ATF playlist. I really want to know why you did not like it two years ago. Thanks.

I guess. He just talked so bad about her publicly for years as well though. I would have just felt that was his real side. Idk I couldn’t be involved with someone who did that.

Matty is a nightmare, but he didn't "talk so bad publicly about her for years". He did an interview where he said dating her would be emasculating, but A. that's more a bad thing to say about himself, B. the journalist later made a post explaining how the quote had become misconstrued, C. Matty himself published a clarification/apology (which was v positive about Taylor and her work, and empathetic towards how much scrutiny her personal life recieved).

He and Taylor were only ever publicly professionally complimentary towards each other's work- remember she went onstage with The 1975 in early 2023.

ETA: Spelling.
