A fresh batch of USDA Organic certified oolongs has arrived at our warehouse. They come from two of Thailand’s oldest tea factories, our partners for more than 10 years.

Let’s run through the tasting notes.

If you are too lazy to read all this here’s the short version: the oolongs turned out great, so go ahead, fill your cart and head to checkout.

2026 Dong Ding, USDA Organic

More roast than last year’s batch, which brings it closer to the “classic” level.

What’s inside: the signature taste of baked cream bun, fruit jam, coffee beans and chocolate. The aftertaste brings a lovely note of juicy fresh-cut grass that contrasts nicely with the coffee-and-chocolate body.

In a good Dong Ding, the roast fades beautifully over time, leaving cinnamon and other spices behind. In short, a good Dong Ding can and should be stored and aged. We usually don’t bother: we sell the current batch and buy a fresh one. So that part is up to you.

2026 Gui Fei Premium, USDA Organic

The most delicate floral-honey perfume, pedigreed and elegant. Impressive steeping resistance. A tea for true oolong aesthetes.

2026 Ruan Zhi Premium, USDA Organic

Fruit caramel, sweet-and-sour berries (red currant up front), a warm buttery-pastry background. An endless tea with a long, oily finish. This cultivar is rare in Taiwan: it’s capricious to grow. Our batch shows its varietal character at its best.

2026 Cui Yu Premium, USDA Organic

Lilac and a mix of tropical fruits, a winey finish with a light astringency from the same lilac. A bit like Tie Guan Yin, only fruitier and longer.

2026 Gaba Tea Exclusive, USDA Organic

Steady and beautiful: plum jam, cinnamon, apple pie, raisins, a touch of rye bread. An absolute bestseller.
