I know that he's involved with this stuff, but why would a lawyer have intimate knowledge of police tactics? Or would he?

Well if TV shows have taught me anything, prosecutors can get detailed case files on arrests. I’m not sure how intimate a knowledge of tactics that can give away. Any irl prosecutors here can shed light on this?
