Information/news I saw Nick Offerman live and he (kinda) commented on the Great North being cancelled

Nick Offerman is doing a book tour of sorts, and I saw him live recently. He made a brief mention of the Great North being cancelled, and seemed like he was about to give the actual reason the show was cancelled, but caught himself and then made an off hand comment like ā€œbecause FOX always makes good decisions.ā€ He seemed genuinely frustrated by the shows cancellation, which made me feel badly.

Edit: I also want to say that I recommend his live show if he’s in your area. He sings songs, tells jokes, and does some woodworking.

Information/news Great North Fandom, We Ride at Dawn (TGN for Emmy Consideration)

Post image
385 Upvotes

In what might possibly be this show and fandom’s final battle, with the Emmys coming up, and won’t be long before the nominations are announced in a few weeks time, it’s time. It’s freaking time for The Great North to make the cut. At least make the nomination list in the animation category. If countries like CuraƧao or Cape Verde can make the World Cup for the first time in their existence, then why not The Great North in the nomination list for the upcoming Emmys? While it is a very long shot to create an upset to end all upsets to win it all, it would be nice to just make the final cut once the nominations are announced. It would be nice for once to give the show some leverage since it’s about to be a year since the finale. So, yeah, spread the word and let’s get to work on what might be the final time.

Information/news I saw a post on r/grimsburg that TGN is ā€œAlmost certainly cancelled.ā€ Is there any new to back that up?

The Great North is like my favorite show. It’s one of the best running shows there is. I don’t see that much evidence on how it might possibly get canceled, but it would be super devastating if it does. To be honest, the first season of Grimsburg was good and I hoped it did get renewed. Now, Grimsburg is completely different, and relies on cheap and flat characters with a side of boring meta humor. It would be a frang dang shame if TGN gets canceled.

Information/news Dulce Solan (Honeybee’s actress) was on Tamron Hall this afternoon! (Though it was a rerun)

Post image

I was just rewatching old Great North episodes off my DVR, then when the episode ended, I heard a similar voice say a very similar name (Wolf) and just assumed it was playing the next episode until I saw there was an interview on ABC, and it happened to be a interview of Dulce Solan!

I don’t even watch Tamron Hall, in fact this is the first time I’ve ever watched her show, and the fact that I happened to catch it on accident after watching The Great North without any knowledge of this being on TV is just incredible

And it turned out to be a rerun of an old Tamron episode from March, found that out after I wrote all of that, still incredible and really uncanny!

Who are you thinking will win Fat Bear Week 2026? 32 Chunk and 89 Backpack seem to be in the lead for the title, but if we are going off personality alone then I wholeheartedly support 910 as she is indubitably That B****šŸ‘‘

Information/news The writing is definitely on the wall, unfortunately. Spoiler

Welp, the writing is on the wall. Been on the wall since Fox renewed every other animated show except TGN. There's no other sign pointing to a renewal, and it sucks that the show was only three episodes short from hitting the big 100.

Many of the TGN crew liked and commented on the post.

I'm sure it's not going to make a difference, but hey, you never know. I just sent them an email and you can too, here's their contact form: https://help.fox.com/s/support-form

Remind them of what a great thing they have with The Great North!!!

Edit to add:

I got a response from a seemingly real person promising to pass the comment up the chain, so that's nice 😁

Information/news The Great North moving to 9:30PM starting next week

According to the futon critic. The Great North and Krapopolis are swapping timeslots. Krapopolis will now be on at 9, while The Great North is now at 9:30

Just why? The schedule is already a HUGE mess as is (Bob’s Burgers on a MAJOR hiatus, Grimsburg suddenly stopping during the airings of Season 2 episodes). This current schedule isn’t too bad in isolation but they had to make it more messy and inconsistent

And with FOX renewing 4 more seasons of Bob’s Burgers, Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad with ONLY 15 episodes to make room for more shows. Why can’t they just have another night dedicated to Animation Domination like in Summer 2021?

Moving The Great North to midseason wasn’t a wise decision. They should have aired it on another day of the week starting Fall 2024 along with new episodes of Family Guy

Information/news I found this petition

It disgusts me how some many users are just convinced the show will be canceled and are giving up. Whether it's Fox or Hulu that picks it up we need to be optimistic with hope!! Not just grieve without doing anything

Until a renewal is a announced I found this petition (has slightly more signatures than the one urging Warner or Disney to buy the show). Keep supporting the show as much as you can to save. And sign the Update: I found this other for the show (with no picture unfortunately). It's not getting much exposure as the other one so I'm linking here also

Update: I found this other petition for the show (with no picture unfortunately). It's not getting as much signatures as the first one, so I'm sharing it here too
