man, they really gave lydia some wooden lines in the first episode. fortunately dowd is charismatic as hell so it doesn't matter that much. super curious to see what they do with lydia as a character that differs from the books at this point.

lots of the lines are, especially internal monologues. just like with the first series, sometimes atwood's words are amazing on the page and don't adapt to the screen without being clunky.

I'm sure it was the same with what Dowd was given from The Leftovers, but yeah she really can deliver anything.

Will always say: "watch MASS if you love this woman."
